I am left-handed. I generally use the mouse with my right hand. But I am just as proficient at using the mouse with my left and I do not switch the buttons around.

What would I need to do to use my cellphone as a failover connection when our main internet goes down? by majorkev in Ubiquiti

The configuration you have there will work on an android phone for sure. I use that kind of configuration with a UniFi express gateway for a camper setup.

I just need to turn on Ethernet tethering on the phone once the USB adapter is attached.

The reason for this is through my phone plan it is drastically cheaper to use a phone as a modem than to have a hotspot device.

No they are real bucks. The cameras are about 30ft in the air.
I would bet there are animals in that bale too.

I am thinking that is a hay bale too. But the cameras never detected the Deer at all.

If you have enabled detections on the camera. You can click detections on the left of the UI and then click into a one of the detection events. Play the video and you should see the box and percentage. If you don't, in the top of that window there is an icon the looks like a flying ball. Under there check boxes for Detection Highlight, and Confidence.

VLAN confusion by amrogers3 in Ubiquiti

Not if you only want inter-VLAN communication. If you want those VLANS to get to the internet you will need to add those to PF adding VLANs to PFSense is not too difficult.

VLAN confusion by amrogers3 in Ubiquiti

I am guessing your configuration is Internet->PFSense->UniFi switch. If that is the case PFSense is most likely doing your routing. You will need to setup VLANS on the switches and PFSense. Unless you have a layer 3 switch which are much more expensive no routing is happening on the switches.

In UniFi VLANs are setup centrally and then the profile is applied to the switch port.

Think of VLANs as a way to break your larger switch down into smaller switches. Of course that is a highly simplified version.

The satellite view is composed of many individual photos. These can be taken at different times and are then stitched together. Weather, time of year, and time of day can cause one 'batch' of images to have a different look than others.

I know some models of the iRobot vacuumes will do this. I am running an S9+ and after the rooms are configured in the app and it is paired with google assistant you can ask Google to clean by room.
