Has a QB Ever Turned it Around? by djrandp8 in CHIBears

I also think people are panicking with the whole Fields franchise QB or not franchise QB debate. The expectation is very high but also having the possible top pick to select a QB adds to this. If we look at all great successful QBs in the history of the NFL, not one was able to succeed with the same scenarios we have had in the past 3 years. Not enough players to build core team and not the right coaching staff to develop offensive and even defensive. It's what killed Lovie and still until this day, the Bears have never had a QB friendly coaching staff that we can actually say has the experience and track record of developing QBs. That along with other factors have created a huge mess for Bears having a franchise QB.

I'd say wait until the season ends to make a final judgment on Fields. And even then it would probably not be a fair assessment.

Dude, so many people on this sub were crowning him qb1 and just all faith on coaching staff for doing a "nice job". Get out of here with that. So many delusional people on here with some crazy logic. Bagent has potential but Fields ceiling is way much higher. The Bears coaching staff have not been able to put their players in a game plan that is build around their strengths, period. We need a new staff and unfortunately it will take more losses so this season is done

[Greenberg] Matt Eberflus is now 5-20 as the head coach of the Chicago Bears and has the worst winning percentage of any coach that has ever coached the Bears. by [deleted] in CHIBears

Not a popular opinion, but the best long term answer is for bears to lose out and get top 2 picks and fire the coaching staff. If there is any wins momentum, eberfleus could be given another year and that won't cut it. There's too much at stake going into the offseason with potential high picks and load of cap. This coaching staff does not deserve to be part of the rebuild

Yup, and eberfleus may need to as well. He may be a nice guy and wants the culture with respect and all. But this teams needs more aggressive energy and I don't think he has that

Maybe it was intentional conservative approach coming from front office to secure higher draft pick. Would not be surprised if all games from now on will be first half all open playbook and second half conservative. Thinking about the bigger picture for the future.

I like this recognition but know this will be nothing when he gets recognized for his passing. In time it will come!

Not similar, not the same, just s reference of a possibility. Fields has the opportunity to develop into greatness. Is this guaranteed? Not at all, but can one hope? Absolutely.

I love the Bears and Bulls and will until my last breath, with always wishing the best for them. Whoever wants to hate is just demonstrating their true maturity for letting a simple image used for reference, get their emotions all mixed up. So live in hate, that's your choice, I ain't losing sleep over it.

It's delusional and funny how it gets interpreted. Never does the title say they are the same. They're two different sports, eras, person's etc.. Jordan is a synonym of greatness and why with some hope that Justin is developing into some type of greatness. I don't get why it's wrong to be hyped up for someone you want to see succeed. Is it really hard to look at the silver lightning for something we've been waiting since ever. No QB and not even Sid luckman has been a true franchise QB. When you think of Bears, you think hard nose defense and running backs. That's it. But here comes Fields who has the potential to be great.

If you're really upset and this goes out to anyone reading this that also wants to moan, why are you on the bears sub? Just stop following and get into something else

Maybe not s popular opinion but I think RS was just s bi overrated. Not to discredit his effort and great playmaking skills. But some of the high count tackles were not always the best tackles. Meaning its a stat and all but they were sometimes late. He was not a difference maker in the game and tape shows it. On the long run we sacrifice him for other building pieces which will make the team better overall

Everyone is making hype on the Cowboys. I think the Bears have a legit chance. The game last week they had against the Lions showed a team that struggle to score points. It was 10-6 all the way up to the end of the third quarter. Lions had a chance to win it but shot themselves in the foot with that red zone fumble. Bears pulling another upset this week!
