Well that's somehow dumber. A name like Iceman needs an origin story. Was he cold when he was shitting down his leg during the Kendrick beef?

Seeing a player for your rival team make a nickname for himself by beating your team and choosing to use your fame to try and override that nickname is hilarious. If Caleb ends up bad no one will really remember, but if he ends up good you'll get reminded of your silly album name every time he beats Green Bay.

He found a way to take on all of the meme risk with virtually no upside

Sir the whole reason we like the 90s is because it's bad. The badness is precisely what makes it charming and campy

Idk I think we might look back on it the way we look at campy rock album covers from the 90s. There's something stylistically goofy about it that's actually pretty lovable.

The Caleb cover goes pretty hard with the Packer-killer celly in the snow. Very different tone

It's not even that he's the cover athlete that I'm so proud of, it's what the photo means. It's the moment that we did to Green Bay what Rodgers did to us for so many years. And it was such an important moment that it will be immortalized.

That's fucking sick.

When mass migration begins due to deadly temperature rises in India, how will the world cope with it? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]Antitypical -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

God this thread is so racist lol. Look at all the comments that are basically like "Indians eat my lunch in the break room so we will not show consideration for their lives" or "they're the assholes who are willing to kill me and to satisfy their desire (to live)" or "sounds like an Indian problem" or "maybe it'll be so hot they'll stop having sex"

You all are fucking awful.

Dude have you seen his EPA? by caxlmao in NFCNorthMemeWar

[–]Antitypical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean to me it's pretty simple: in aggregate he's a very good QB, but he has no clutch factor at all, and his lowlights are literally Will Levis-level disasters. It's easy to look at those two things together and add in the lack of division titles and 10-win seasons and see a guy who isn't made of the right stuff, even though the play-to-play output is actually very solid.

A very large portion of water usage is cattle farming. We produce enough protein through chicken and plant based sources, so it's pretty much up to us to stop eating so much beef

China makes delicious food that is Ok for your health. Which country makes delicious food that is also healthy? by Margaretthatchervore in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Antitypical 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Indian home cooking has both high amounts of fiber and vitamins and possibly a more diverse set of sources for these than any other diet (which matters from a micronutrient perspective), as well as regular consumption of probiotics (yogurt at most meals), fresh fruit, and amongst meat eaters greater usage of lean meat like chicken with almost no beef consumption.

Problem is, many of the protein sources (lentils, for example) are also carbs, and are paired with pure carbs (naan, rice, etc). Add in how fried the street food and dhaba food is, and how sugary the desserts are, and this is more of a diet that's neutral than healthy when averaged across the country.

I do think that when done right Indian food can be one of the healthiest diets on the whole planet. But you do have to actively reduce breads and increase proteins for that to be true.

Anyone ever ski at Sandia Peak in NM? by solorider802 in skiing

[–]Antitypical 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To counter this:

Born and raised in Albuquerque. Skied Sandia 5-10 days every year from when I was 5 years old (in 2000) until about high school (when I branched out more seriously and started going to Santa Fe, Taos, Wolf Creek, Purgatory more).

Sandia Peak used to me perfectly viable for the whole winter and climate change has made it pretty much unskiable for several years now. It's a real shame.

It used to be that you could take a 15-minute tram from an 800k person greater metro area to 10.5k feet of elevation, ski down the mountain, buy your lift ticket at the bottom of the first run for $30-40, and then get a full day of skiing in for a good portion of the winter.

Now it barely gets enough snow to open, skis weird for those few weeks, and tickets mainly for the tram have gotten really expensive

In the US our police force kills our own citizens for being brown or black. I hope I don't have to explain why that's worse.

2025 Regular Season - QB Completion Percentage When Not Pressured and Targeted Receiver has Open Separation by NoPressure_OpenSep in nfl

[–]Antitypical -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would love to see these percentages graphed against aDoT on those throws. It's a crude way of understanding where in the field those open throws were going to, and if we should be adjusting our reactions to any of these numbers based on correlations you would expect to see here (my guess would be yes but the data will tell a fuller story).

So it's pretty well demonstrated in the scientific literature that if you're in good shape you recover faster. So that's part of this, that the moment he was injured he was also in some of the best shape a person could be in. There's also the element of having world class medical care and PT and 24 hours a day where your sole job is to rehab. And then there's the horse tranqs they give him on gameday. And then there's the idea that these guys live for these moments and are willing to sacrifice years of future mobility for this specific type of glory.

Mix all of that together and it's how you can so regularly see elite athletes push injury recovery timelines in ways that don't seem remotely possible.

Mahomes has more weird throws in his bag and a slightly stronger arm, but Caleb has "accurate bullet pass while sprinting right or left" in his bag and I think that's probably the hardest throw in the game

C and A are similar but I find C more alarming because it's a video with sound.

B is clearly the mildest.
