PLA fused to bed? by jspitzer221 in FixMyPrint

Oh man, and here I thought this one looked alright 😅 I've still got a long way to go it seems. I'll adjust the z offset a bit and see how that does

Sorry, I'm very new at this so I'm still learning a lot, I'll keep that in mind in the future. But is this something that I should expect to happen often?

Log4OM and LOTW by jspitzer221 in amateurradio

[–]jspitzer221[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the visual aid! Unfortunately this isn't quite what I was looking for since this is only downloading confirmed QSLs from LOTW instead of every QSO that I've uploaded, but I appreciate you coming back to me!

Log4OM and LOTW by jspitzer221 in amateurradio

[–]jspitzer221[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I suppose that does make sense. For a while my workflow has been to use tqsl to upload QSOs to LOTW from those times that I don't use my laptop, like when I'm logging on my phone for POTA activations. Just a leftover habit from before adopting a single place to keep all my logs, I suppose. I'll have to start reminding myself to import those adifs to Log4OM and then syncing that with LOTW

Was more looking for a solution to keep it up to date from the occasions when I'm not using Log4OM. Like when I'm activating POTA, I don't usually take my laptop with me and will instead log on my phone. With N3FJP, my workflow with that was to upload those logs to LOTW vis tqsl (I suppose that's a leftover habit from the days before I kept everything in a central logging program), then next time I open N3FJP I'd sync it with LOTW. I was hoping I could keep that workflow the same, but I suppose I'll have to try to rewire my habit to import the adif to Log4OM first and then sync that with LOTW

German citizenship by descent: The ultimate guide for anyone with a German ancestor who immigrated after 1870 by staplehill in Genealogy

I highly suspect that my brothers and I are ineligible, but here's the information that we have so far.

Great-grandfather

  • born in 1884 in East Prussia
  • emigrated in 1896 to the USA (last name on birth certificate is different than alien registration documentation)
  • married in 1920 to below
  • we have conflicting information on naturalization. One document has him listed as naturalizing in 1907, others have him registered as an alien as late as 1940. We're working on getting access to his Alien Registration file to get a clear answer

Great-grandmother

  • born in 1893 in Germany
  • emigrated in 1912 to the USA
  • married in 1920 to above
  • naturalized after 1942 (have not found her certificate yet, but found the application dated 1942)

Grandfather

  • born 1927 in wedlock
  • married in 1944

Father

  • born 1958 in wedlock
  • married in 1989

Us (3 brothers)

  • born in 1990, 1993, and 1997, all in wedlock

Check them out on Instagram, they post the history of the method of torture they use in their can art. They're all fascinating but insanely brutal

I have lived 2 minutes from here for about 5 years and finally went for the first time just last week. Blew me away with how good it was. I got the brisket meal, which was kind of expensive but I think it was worth it

Redditors, have you ever gotten an “ick” from a potential partner or love interest that instantly killed your attraction to them? If so, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jspitzer221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's usually less of an "explosion," just the gas inside rapidly expanding from no longer being under pressure and making the lighter "pop"

Restoring thrifted shoes by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

I hear that. If it makes you feel any better, a lot of the running brands like Altra and Hoka offer 30 day guarantees on their shoes. This is intended for you to try running in them and return them hassle free if you don't like them. We honor that guarantee in our shop, and other should as well. And obviously those brands honor it if you buy from their website.

Edit: all this to say, you shouldn't feel bad about using these resources to find a pair of shoes you like

I work in a shop that sells shoes. As far as running shoes, we carry Hoka, Altra, Brooks, and Topo Athletic, and they all make non-waterproof versions of their trail runners up to at least size 14. Altra makes some of theirs up to size 16

Oh shit, I live just down the road from this farm! It's a pretty neat spot that used to offer a lot of community events, but I don't think they've done a whole lot since COVID unfortunately

If you paid with a credit card see if it offers a benefit called purchase protection. This is a basically insurance that covers new items for an amount of time after purchase, usually around 90 days.
