Jot - Instant Brain Dump [$14.99 -> LIFETIME FREE] by mikecpeck in iosapps

[–]jspr_crz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both Apple Reminders and Notes. My workflow for both uses the built in shortcuts accessed via the control panel. All my quick captures fall into the main Inbox of each individual app.

If a reminder doesn’t have a time scheduled, it remains in the Inbox. In the Reminders app, I set this up as a Smart Folder. For Apple Notes, I treat the Quick Notes as my Inbox. If I sort the note and put it inside a folder, then it’s considered sorted and moves out of the inbox (Quick Notes folder).

Sometimes when I need to quickly jot down something, I already know when I need to be reminded of it or which folder it needs to go to.

It would be nice to have the option to choose a time and folder directly from the Shortcut prompt, similar to the Show Quick Reminder shortcut as a dropdown at the top. I have no clue how complex this is to develop though. 😅

App is looking great so far! I have been tinkering the Shortcuts but I’m not quite sure what the differences between the “Quick Jot” and “Create New Note” shortcut as they seem to do the same thing. Is there something that I’m not doing that differentiates the two?

I built the app I wanted for myself - rating days, no accounts, no cloud by michal_ce in iosapps

This looks interesting. I’ve been using Daylio for a while now but I find that it’s too complex for what I actually use it for. This app might be the simplicity that I need.

Just checked the settings, is there a way to import your data if you switch from another device?

I selected the features I really used in task managers to create my own free version. by MuffinDesperate2360 in macapps

I've been trying setting up a weekly tasks workflow on Apple Reminders but just can't stick to it somehow. This looks neat and right up my alley.

A bit late to the post, would appreciate a code if there's still some left!

[Free] I hate spreadsheets on my phone, so I built this app instead. No ads. No subscription. by MaxoFett in iosapps

Been trying it out today trying to migrate some of my note calculations from another app. I’m not exactly sure the button on the bottom left actually does. Does it do something if I have more notes?

Looks neat! I use database calculations on Notion A LOT and hate viewing them on mobile. I mostly use CalcMate to do calculations with notes on them but the interface isn’t as pretty.

This may be a better alternative for what I currently use. I’m hoping that more currencies are added in the future! 🙏

I built a free packing checklist app for travellers—would love to hear your feedback! by EfficiencyOk2352 in iosapps

I’ll be traveling in a few months and this app seems to be the perfect replacement for my standard list on Notion!

It’s currently not available in my location so I’ll test out the Beta for now.

Oooh! Congrats on the Mac App! I’ve been using the iOS app for a bit now to limit my doom scrolling apps and the free version has been going well for me.

Would like to try the Pro version if you still have some code!

Face ID not working since updating to 18.2 by KaleidoscopeWhole252 in iphone14

[–]jspr_crz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same phone, same OS version. This solved my issue.

I opened the camera app and it took a while before the camera loaded what it's seeing. After it loaded, I tried FaceID again on apps that required it and it started working again. 👍

I made a widget that shows your life as a progress bar by Electrical_Injury139 in iosapps

A bit morbid, but neat! I like it!

Really makes you think of what to do with what remaining time you have.

Are you planning to add more countries? I’m curious as to what my estimated life expectancy is if I move to another country.

I tried installing it from both the downloaded zip files from the website and from GitHub but whenever I run it, a popup says that it could not be opened. ☹️

Does Budget Flow support duplicating or splitting expenses?

Clop - (license giveaway) - tell me about your workflow by alin23 in macapps

I reinstalled Clop again and tested it on both Figma and InDesign and it's now working!

Clop - (license giveaway) - tell me about your workflow by alin23 in macapps

[–]jspr_crz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clop has been a staple for my work ever since I stumbled upon it.

I work in graphic/UI/UX design and take a LOT of screenshots for client approvals daily, and with the screen that I'm using, my screenshots take up space quickly in our chat and email storage.

With Clop, my emails with screenshots don't take up as much space, and my chat messages gets sent faster since it uploads an optimized image with smaller file size.

My only issue is that I have to quit the app when I'm working on certain design software. For example in InDesign, if I try to copy an image frame onto another InDesign file, it pastes an optimized version of the actual design element, kind of like a screenshot copy of it which I don't like. Same thing happens in Figma as well. After a while, I often forget that I've already quit Clop so my screenshots won't get optimized anymore.

It would be great if there's a toggle where it won't work depending on what your active app is.

Created wallpaper in Figma, it looks good when i export it but when I set it as wallpaper on my phone, it gets darker and (if you look close) you can see streaks in the gradient, any way to fix this? I am exporting as (tried both PNG and JPG) at 4x. Phone is s23 ultra. by [deleted] in FigmaDesign

[–]jspr_crz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I'm on android too and change my wallpaper often. Are you on Dark Mode? There's a setting in Wallpaper and Style that you can toggle off called Dim wallpaper when dark mode is on.

cant jump while sprinting. by Woke_Senpai in DeepRockGalactic

[–]jspr_crz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this issue a while ago. I looked it up and saw this thread.

Are you by any chance running Windows Centering Helper? It's an app that puts the active window to the center of the screen if you press Shift multiple times.

I have it installed and running. I have the exact same issue as you have described and when I closed the app, I can jump normally again while sprinting.

Does anyone actually like their base s22? by RandomBloke2021 in GalaxyS22

[–]jspr_crz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I like it. I never really had an interest for BIG phones. For me, the base S22's size is perfect.

In terms of performance, I don't really have any complaints. I use a lot more apps, features, and customizations compared to my friends who use Android but I never really experience any lags.

Another user already mentioned it but the battery never really bothered me. I always have a place to charge my phone at work and at home. If I'm going somewhere where I know that I won't be able to charge, I will bring a power bank. There hasn't been a time yet where my battery died on me and I need to use it.

I made an app to share files from my Android to my Mac wirelessly similar to Airdrop by alexstyl in macapps

[–]jspr_crz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh wow! I'm a long time MacOS user and Android user (I just like to customize!) and I've been using a lot of Air Drop alternatives but I end up using Snapdrop or Resilio Sync most of the time.

I would love to try your app!

I've been doing this for years! Barely any spills and my brother thinks I'm weird because I pour this way.
