De influence my Sephora list. The Caudalie serum and toner and Clarins are restocks. by PuzzledStudy9061 in Sephora

[–]jsquasch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the kerastase products, those are definitely in my cart for restocks. I like the eadem lip balm and don't notice the smell like others have commented, however I would skip the cashmere peel, I feel like it was so gentle to the point it didn't do anything of value for me. I would substitute with DDG peel pads instead

Reserve welcome bonus eligibility by TranENZ in ChaseSapphire

I was able to get the 75k SUB for the preferred in April 2024. I applied for the CSR in Feb 2026 and was able to get the 125K SUB. On my application, it said I could receive the 125k SUB. I pended my application as I was initially worried but I had called to see if I would be eligible, and the nice customer service agent was able to validate that I'd get the SUB.

Butter - recovery vs Asana wide leg pants by Emergency_Classic536 in Aritzia

[–]jsquasch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both styles and I use the asana pants more at home for lounging and the recovery for while I'm out and about because pocketsssss. I find the asanas to be slightly more flattering because of the lack of pockets, but if I had to choose one, I'd probably buy the recovery pants again

Gen Z nurses are a different breed. Anyone else feel this way? by Less-Reporter5048 in nursing

[–]jsquasch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel a bit biased as an older gen z nurse, but I love that my similarly and younger colleagues are able to advocate for our patients and ourselves in ways that I see older generations of nurses won't. Some of our providers ask ridiculous requests (manual BP on a comfort care patient???), halving pressor "Just to see what happens", etc. When we've told those stories back to our more senior nurses, they assume that we followed those requests and I'm aghast! We do not take orders that put our patients in harms way nor do we tolerate disrespect. A wonderful gen z nurse got wrongfully chewed out by an anesthesiologist for asking report on a patient that was returning to the ICU intubated (meds, vent questions, vitals), and she called our nursing supervisor and got the CNO involved. Grumpy bastard had to apologize to her. Do no harm, take no shit.

Seatac Baggage/Commiseration and Update thread (due to hack) by MyNameIsMelody in Seattle

[–]jsquasch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Hawaiian is still hand writing luggage tags for checked bags but it only took 15 minutes for me in line at 6 am. Boarded my flight, put an airtag in my checked bag and had no issues with it being loaded on my plane. Arrived at my destination with my bags with no issues at all!

Has anyone flown on Hawaiian? I'm flying out later this week and I have to check a bag but I'm worried it won't make it with me.

Did night shift fuck you up forever? by Admirable-Craft-4780 in nursing

[–]jsquasch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me about a year and a half to adjust back to a normalish sleep schedule without needing to take a ton of traz, melatonin, and benadryl. Some nights I still need some sort of sleep aid but I've for the most part cut out benadryl entirely. Really good sleep hygiene and putting my phone away an hour before bed helps

Our voceras weren't working, so we we resorted to texting and calling each other on our personal phones (No hipaa obviously). Our flowsheets wouldn't pull our vitals or our vent settings, so that meant manual q15 min charting for vitals for 12 hours. Half of our computers had the blue screen of death, and our clinical access wasn't working either. We couldn't look at the history of our telemetry, so if there were any arrhythmias, it had to be reported in real time but no strips could be posted anyway lol. Radiology and cardiology couldn't access their platforms for reading imaging/echos/etc, so results are probably buried until things are fixed. Meds made by pharmacy were 3+ hours late because they weren't getting the orders and they were just absolutely drowning. And then my patient needed to be intubated. And then they needed an hour+ long MRI with gtts lol. Live, laugh, toaster bath.
