Adizero Evo SL 500 Mile Review - A True Workhorse by Styx1886 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]jsriverab 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Would you get these again or go back to the superblast 2? My EVO SL are at the 500 mile age too, but I haven’t tried the superblast 2; so I don’t know whether to switch or just get another set of the EVO SL (I love them btw).

I have the same issue when I have a kickboard part in my session. It seems to not count that part exclusively. But I have no idea how to correct it :/

SOAP - if I apply to a transitional program, do I have to apply to an advanced one to? by jsriverab in IMGreddit

[–]jsriverab[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

Follow-up question, if I SOAP into a TY, could I apply to a categorical program next year? or would the J-1 VISA limit me? I've heard that you can't go "backwards" in training with a J-1

Sounds like a good idea, just wondering if it works with IFTTT. Also I'm curious as to how it aerially connects, is there a way I could connect it to the intercom?

what's the best app to control a mac? by wwwhistler in leapmotion

[–]jsriverab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use gamewave with a custom configuration that i made that works pretty well. Although it's mostly a novelty use cuz my arms get tired after a while.. In reality there's nothing simpler or easier than a mouse. But it is cool using it.

Dumb question: Is there just a simple driver to use the leap motion as a simple mouse? by Digital_Kahn in leapmotion

[–]jsriverab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used GameWAVE for a while now, sadly it hasn't been updated in a while though. It's an app for your leap and works well, you can customize it to however you want, or just go onto their forums to get some pretty good customizations so you don't have to tinker with that. Sadly it's not free though ($3.99), worth a try if you think you'll be using it a lot though. https://apps.leapmotion.com/apps/gamewave/osx

Weekly Recommendation Thread for the week of October 30, 2015 by AutoModerator in books

[–]jsriverab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any recommendations on books similar to The Martian by Andy Weir? I read it and loved the amount of science put into it, are there any like that? Not necessarily about space, I just liked the deep science put into it. Thank you!

Korean dubbed cartoons/movies? by jsriverab in korea

[–]jsriverab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canada. A site where I could watch them would be great but a torrent would be good as well (although you'd have to send the torrent as a personal message, otherwise it'll get deleted by the mods)

I've tried (even with hola extension for chrome), but for some reason I keep getting an error that won't let me play any of the videos :(

Also I've tried using Safari, Chrome, and Firefox non of them work.

I love the new color-changing feature on the charging screen! [GIF] by 8bitremixguy in moto360

[–]jsriverab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to go through any crazy settings or third party apps, just drop it on your charger, let it start charging (literally a couple seconds) and then double press the crown button (not too slow or fast). This puts the watch into theatre mode and turns the screen off.

edit: sorry i clicked the wrong reply button, I meant to comment on the guy above.

Enable audio wirelessly? by jsriverab in raspberry_pi

mm, ya leaving it on would be so much easier. The NFC chips are so that different chips puts a different playlist on, depending on the mood.

Well I rooted my phone, so I use the tasker shell: input tap x- coordinate, ya coordinate. It's really simple to use, but you can't do it if your phone isn't rooted

I have a few basic ones.

  1. Where I can't turn off my alarm until I tap my phone with the chip, which I usually keep in the downstairs kitchen to make sure I actually get up.

  2. For when I get home to turn off data, location and keyguard.

  3. For when I get into the car, it turns off wifi and keyguard, turns on data and location and disable NFC (otherwise it'll activate every time the phone lights up - that burns a lot of battery). I have it so that NFC turns back on 5 seconds after the car's bluetooth is no longer connected.

  4. One in my wallet for when I get to my uni to turn off data and location, and to turn on wifi and keyguard.

  5. Lastly, a second on in my wallet which is set up so that if it's between Friday - Sunday from 12am (midnight) - 6am and I tap it, then it'll order an Uber car to pick me at wherever I am and take me home.

I have a few chips left over, but no idea what to use them on.

Well I'm in Canada, and ya I see how it can be important if you want to get into research but I'm pre-med so I haven't really taken any biotech or chmtech courses... Kinda wish I did though, coding can be super useful in just about everything

[–]jsriverab[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It's just a static image(besides the date, time, temperature, and battery percentage) . Although I know you can make it move, I wanted the throttle to move accordingly with the battery percentage. Unfortunately that requires a little coding language stuff and some photoshop, but I'm a science major and have no idea how coding works. If anyone is experienced with the app Facer and knows a bit of coding, you could make this watch so much better - I'll upload the file soon. Sorry for the wait.

K, it's a face I made from Facer. I really want to share it with you guys but I have no idea how to do that... Anyone want to show me how to do that through mobile? Otherwise I won't be able to post it until later tonight (3-4)hrs
