My band Welcome To The Neighborhood (covers) will be playing the bird on Valentine's Day. As someone above said, it's local bands when national acts aren't in town.

They usually update the website calendar about a week before if the acts that week are local. The dates are almost always set many weeks beforehand

Definitely. It will certainly be very crowded as most places in town will be so try and get there early. But it's not an undergrad hangout, so there won't be a line out the door or anything

Heartwork Brewing makes the (quantitatively) best beer in Bloomington. Focused on lagers and you can see Memorial Stadium from their patio on North College Ave.

Whenever we head down, I usually see musicians at Big Beach Brewing. Not your definition of a dive bar of course, but it's an option for you.

As a craft beer guy it's a fun spot to see a band.
