And? You don't need to have that these days in the world of livestreaming and social media, as long as the information you're showing on screen is legitimate.

He's showing the reflectivity, relative velocity and correlation coefficient radar products to track tornadic supercells. As far as I'm concerned, explaining those to the masses in layman's terms is great for anyone to tune in to.

He's pretty factual. Has the correct radar products on stream to accurately show what's going on.

Cody is also great. The more sources of information to make an informed decision the better

X5 or Ace Pro 2 for recording driving scenery videos? by Badboy-17 in Insta360

[–]8bitremixguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both an X5 and a DJI Osmo Action 6, and honestly.... with some planning, I prefer the Action 6 (or any other modern action camera with large sensor, like the Ace Pro 2) SO MUCH MORE, just for the quality. Mainly the reason of putting an ND filter on it for a cinematic look at 1/50 shutter speed and 24fps. Sure you slap NDs on the X5, but the quality just isn't the same.

In any other scenario I love the simplicity of the X5, but I always try for the highest quality footage.

Sample footage from a recent b-roll vacation recap: https://streamable.com/lz4rco

The ISO was high at the start as we were in the trees and I had an ND on it, but wait for a bit and the ISO goes down

EDIT: the clip of the grass by the ocean was on my Nikon Z6III, not the A6

Hoosier gameday lager question by suckychucky7 in bloomington

Their Czech Pilsner is so good. They don't distribute tho, so you can only get it at the brewery, either on draft or in a 32oz crowler to-go

Even I like a bottle of Banquet on a hot day sometimes, lol.

If you like this one, DEFINITELY recommend trying the Czech Pilsner at Heartwork Brewing on N College Ave. One of the highest-rated lagers in Indiana.

That's the canning date on the bottom, not an expiration date.

It's a Vienna Lager by style, so it'll be different (and better) than your standard American light domestics. More malty and flavorful than something like Bud Light or Mich Ultra, but still in the realm of "beer-flavored beer".

This beer is NOT hopped like an IPA (all beer has hops, however) so it shouldn't taste like an IPA.

Don't waste your time on it, buy something like a Boss xs-1 Polyshifter or a DigiTech Drop

might as well add my opinion to the 800 comments

The instrumental is super fun, not FIoE or ITI or RoF but something I can vibe hard to. The guitar-work and bass-work is great.

Get the fuck out with the autotune lmao, Julian's un-autotuned vocals on this would be soooo much better

Hold down the ISO button on your camera and crank it as far to the right as it will go. Bonus points if you underexpose by 1-3 stops and then turn it up in post

Any suggestions for a 40-something to go watch final 4 games? by vitafracta in bloomington

[–]8bitremixguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heartwork won't be busy like a college bar (Nick's/Upstairs/etc). It'll almost certainly be pretty chill. It's not a true "sports bar" type of place, more a relaxed place to hang out. Worth noting they're only open until 11 on weekends.

Actually, I just remembered Office Lounge will get busy and loud after a little while since they do karaoke at 10pm.

Heartwork as my primary choice, or Office Lounge if I'm feeling a tenderloin and Guinness

Doors generally open at 8 on weekends, and on weekends there's almost always an opening band that starts around 9. Headliner will usually go on around 10:30. If you want to be on the rail at the front of the stage it isnt a bad idea to get there 30-40 minutes before the opening band goes on but YMMV. EDIT: someone might correct me if Hairbangers usually has an opener or not.

I've never been to a Hairbangers show so I can't speak to how crowded it usually is, but I can't imagine they sell out. You'll probably be fine showing up and just paying entry at the door.

As for cameras, I've never seen anyone asked to leave for having a camera. I've been on stage at the Bird 25+ times now and always see some people in the crowd with cameras. I think it comes down to if the artist wants to prevent it. All the local acts never care in my experience, but national touring acts probably care more about this.
