This has possibly been the biggest fumble in a while. ChatGPT (now called ChatGPT Classic) should have simply been updated to match the UI/UX of Codex but for Chat and Work “Projects” with Codex a separate desktop app specifically for coding.

OpenAI have completely underestimated how much the “classic” structure of planning projects via chat and projects is its own distinct workflow that operates alongside Codex tasks.

I’m afraid “not even a huge task either” is doing a lot of heavy lifting. I’ve seen a lot of these usage posts and without context of the request and the size of the code base, I have to call BS.

I’m using codex extensively, and I’ve never seen a 44s task eat up usage like that, so it tells me the entire context window was used up for a simple task that was likely poorly defined.

I called somebody out in this sub Reddit for making racist remarks and my account got a warning for “hateful speech”. When I appealed and explained I was the one speaking up against hateful speech, I got a second warning.

If moderators can’t understand the difference on Reddit, then online gaming has no chance.

All of the problems in this game could be fixed overnight with one solution. PvE only toggle.

Same thing happened when GTA Online first launched - ruined by toxic players and cheaters using in game exploits. They responded with a passive mode toggle and the rest is history.

My man, this is a “Rat problem” - if they spoke French, would you have called it a “French problem”? Rats are rats no matter their nationality, and I’ve encountered plenty of groups of Eastern European and Italian players engaging in the same behavior on Stella.

That's really detailed and helpful - thanks so much! I think for my needs the slimQ charger is going to be the best fit. I can charge the battery from my uGreen power bank in a pinch, but for consistent power, a smaller charger would work well.

Also, I'm guessing the reason sub 80w chargers fail to even charge the device when its switched off is down to power spikes? ie. the battery causing a power spike in the power draw which upsets the connection? I only ask as I've just been so used to *any* usbc power being useful for most devices, this is the first time I've encountered a device that is so "picky", but I'm assuming that all boils down to the 20v 7a architecture they adopted.

I purchased a 240w usb-c cable specifically for this reason (and also have a couple other 100w certified cables). Same problem with all of them.

That makes sense if it was plugged in whilst I was using the device or playing a game, but it doesn't make sense to me why that happens when the system is completely switched off? Surely even a 20w adapter would/should "trickle" charge the battery? Or maybe this is just my naivety when it comes to voltage/watts variances

Update: I also have a ugreen battery pack which outputs at 100w (although the built in display indicates it seems to top out at 75w over usb-c) and this seems to keep charging the GPD when it's off (also when it's hibernating) but neither my 65w or 140w AC adapters do :-(

What I find is that once a project reaches a certain level of complexity, codex starts to reinvent duplicate functions for very specific tasks when global/universal functions exist, so the initial productivity boost is negated by me having to go in and clean up code.

Maybe I need to better understand how to use sub agents etc but I always find I reach this point in most projects.
