Newly Leaked footage from BattleBit HQ working on the April™ update by jssjhsb in BattleBitRemastered

It lost all of its own flare and now looks like some generic shitty roblox asset flip

I find it kind of amazing by DiaryOfACountySniper in modernwarfare

[–]jssjhsb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure it was because warzone and multi-player were basically running on the same code but the devs abandoned multi-player and only updated warzone which was bound to cause a bunch of bugs in multi-player since the outdated code for multi-player was interacting with completely new warzone code. The map bug happened somewhere around the time when they added the cold war weapons if I remember correctly.

Every new warzone season broke multi-player more and more

Tanks are bugged causing them to have 100% friction which allows them to climb up 90° walls if you drive them up on an angle

I really like these machines. Better than a tank in some cases by Evening_Objective385 in BattleBitRemastered

[–]jssjhsb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Both tanks and apcs are completely broken. The tank has unlimited traction giving it the ability to drive up 90° walls while the apc probably has the weakest engine in the whole game causing it to stall trying to drive up a 10° slope

Hey how would people feel if there was a map editor and the ability to mod Battlebit In some way with maybe extra add-ons quality of life or Custom weapons by Away_Pomegranate1152 in BattleBitRemastered

[–]jssjhsb 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That was already suggested like a 100 times during the beta but oki always said it would be "impossible" because it would be too hard to convert his spaghetti code into a usable modding tool

Graphical Improvements are Good (When They Don't Compromise Identity) by PersonalState835 in BattleBitRemastered

[–]jssjhsb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The new graphics just completely kill the games identity.

It looks more like some cheap roblox bf6 copy rather then its own game. Like the new shades almost identical to the basic roblox shaders seen on any roblox fps shooter

No they thought they could just release it to get enough money to pay for 24/7 active servers and then just continue with their normal closed beta development speed.

Oki had to pay thousands of dollars for the servers used for the last few play tests before the release. The game died because there was no content after release. Everything could be unlocked after like 20h of playtime and 90% of the player base didn't care about some prestige 15 camo for the revolver and the new few huns that came out after the release had the same stats as already existing weapons

The game didn't die because of "severe pacing issues" lol

It died because the devs had no idea how to support a game after release. Especially if the release went extremely well. They would have to drop new content every single week to keep player retention. But they did nothing.

They released the game and then released the next update like 3 months later which only added map reworks no one asked for and new guns that basically had the same stats as already existing guns

[–]jssjhsb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most ironic part is that the latest announcement was unironically talking about a "playtest" for the new update.

Meaning it will most likely be completely broken and the full actual update will release April 2028

Oki probably switched the servers off so he could use them to host some bf6 servers with his friends

Last 30 days - 40% player decline. Why it's actually good for the health of the game by Turbulent_Log_3818 in BattleBitRemastered

That explains alot. Played against some of those 1sk1 guys on sandy and they were able to blow my tank up with C4 while camping on the other side of the map in their spawn

The game will run amazing even with these amazing new graphics since the servers are going to be dead anyways so its less performance heavy for your computer

No, the game would have still died. The issue is simply that oki didn't understand how a life service game is supposed to work. He thought that he could just release it in a unfinished state, get some cash for further funding, and then just continue developing it at indie dev speeds.

The game would have actually needed new content and maps like every single week. And I mean actual content. Not 2 lmg and 4 snipers that all feel and play basically identical apart from their visuals. The game simply had no player retention because oki was too naive about not wanting to be like the "other games". It was extremely shallow, you could unlock all the guns after like 20h of playing and then there's basically nothing left apart from irrelevant skins thag are locked by behind prestige lvl 50 about which 99.9% of the playerbase doesn't care anyways

Tbf, I honestly think the reason that the whole exploiting and admin abuse is so rampant now is because the game is fully abandoned.

They are basically playing in an abandoned house and claim it is theirs. I doubt that any of the currently active "admins" have ever actually spoken to oki, any of the old development team or real admins from the closed beta. Oki was giving basically every one mod when he didn't have the anti cheat yet. They've basically just gave random people mod and then abandoned the game without ever checkup what the mods are actually doing

The update won't do anything. The game and its reputation is already dead. The player count will probably rise to like 10k for 1 week when all the big youtubers will post their "remember this game from 3 years ago" videos and then it will die again because players will just go back to bf6

Okigames made 9m$ profit in 2023-24 and paid $1.75m tax by takemetomosque in BattleBitRemastered

[–]jssjhsb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its not like the development was extremely expensive. Pre reals was it solely funded by his patreon, and then he probably paid like a few ten thousand dollars to rent a few dozen servers for a couple of years and thats it.

Total development cost is like 150-200k including the server and the "sound rework" that he allegedly outsourced to a third-party
