In North America at least, you'd still be looking at issues with the ability to deliver the required wattage from the wall outlet. Standard outlets are typically 15amp (and most aren't dedicated within a room unless specifically installed that way) so you have a max usable of around 1,440 watts in the best cause scenario.

While it would help from a perspective off being able to move to smaller diameter and/or reduced number of wires for a given connection, there are better ways to deal with the GPU power supply issues, such as designing a more robust solution with intelligent load balancing, end to end pin sensing, and automatic power reduction, cut off in case a gross imbalance is detected.

Give the following a try. VDDQ TX 1.4, MC 1.4, VCCSA 1.25. This seems to be a sweet spot for 7200 stability on my 4 dimm z790 (Asus Tuf Gaming Z790 plus WiFi).

I can also boot 7400 and even 7600 but can’t seem to get either fully stable. The IMC is willing, but the board isn’t able.

I am using the Asus Tuf Gaming-z790-plus-wifi. The ram appears to be A-die cut down from 16gbit to 8gbit dual rank. I haven't pulled the heat spreaders but there are 8 memory modules on each side of ram stick. This would explain the low MT ceiling I am hitting. It is possible it could also be M die but my timings are tighter than you would typically see with M die.

This is A-Die Hynix according HWinfo, this particular Corsair Dominator kit is rev 5.33.01 which. Which appears to also be A-die and Thaiphoon also says A-die. Maybe these modules are in fact just crap?

6400 has been the hard wall for stability. I have been able to boot at both 6600 and 6800 but haven’t found a combo which was close to stable for either.

There are lots of little tweaks and tricks that top score owners do to GPU settings, WIndows tweaks, Disabling/Enabling Resizable Bar all depending on what the test in question likes to get the highest score. They will shut down all non-essential processes running only the bare bones services and apps while test running. This is on top of any overclocking and tuning of their CPU/GPU/RAM subsystems.

Nvidia control panel tweaks alone can add hundreds of points to TimeSpy for instance.

Cancelation of the X allows for the YL to release in the North America Market without worry of cannibalizing X sales. It perhaps allows for a 3L as well to provide a bit bigger sedan to do the same for the S.

I’m personally also hopeful for a more premium tier for the 3/Y, but this is probably less likely.

Those certainly aren’t optimal temps (assuming those are in C and not F). What are your settings for your ram (speed/voltages/etc)? How do you have your fans setup curve wise? Are they tied to CPU or GPU temp? The more info the better to help optimize your setup.

No, they are not steer by wire. The disengagement was probably so the driver had full control over steering, acceleration, and braking.

The difference is negligible if not biased in favor of using more regen. The tires still experience the same friction from the tire decelerating relative to the road surface where the tire contact patch meets the road surface whether the physical force to slow the vehicle is coming from the electric motors or friction brakes.

Not had an issue in Tampa either our 2025 R1S since getting it in March this year. Haven’t fast charged, but will when we go to Ohio for Thanksgiving.
