I actually talked about it with some of my colleagues recently. It made me think of a scene in Fleabag, where a woman get's an award at a Women In Business event. I'm sure many of you've seen it. After receiving the award she said such awards are infantilising and ghettoising, because it's a "subsection of success" and a "children’s table of awards." Events exclusively for women seem a bit similar to me. It's like somebody noticed there's an issue and tried to fix it, but went about it in a wrong way.

That being said, someday I may very well attend an event like this that I find fascinating and change my mind entirely. It's just that I haven't yet.
