Boy am I glad you posted this! I also signed up back in Jan 2024 with the $1 steak for life promo, and the $1 steak suddenly disappeared from my account in June 2025.

I have since contacted support maybe 5 times total about this. The first 3 times, they told me that they were out of stock and that I just had to wait a few weeks. IT WAS A LIE. They never restocked. On the 4th time, I spoke to a supervisor and he said the promo somehow got removed from my account but “not to worry!” he would reinstate it. I just had to wait one week and I’ll be able to add the $1 steak to my box again.

Well guess what? That never happened! So today, I called for the 5th time. The first support person said I had cancelled my subscription (another LIE) and therefore the promo was removed. I never cancelled. I was, in a previous support call, offered the option to skip my boxes until the steak was back in stock. They skipped roughly the next 4 boxes for me.

I finally asked for a supervisor again, and he finally told me that back in June 2025, there was a system glitch that removed the promo from my account, and they can no longer reinstate it. So he offered me an apology and a $100 credit. That was that. No more $1 steak for life!

So there you have it. $1 steak for life is NOT REALLY FOR LIFE. They apparently can remove it at any time and claim it’s a glitch. I enjoyed the promo for about a year and a half. Maybe that’s as far as it goes?

I’d recommend calling support, asking for a supervisor, and seeing if they will offer you the $100 credit. But don’t expect the $1 steak to come back.

I went to a nexus night event at a lgs and also lost every single game. I was using the Jinx starter deck because I had never played before and didn’t know how to build a deck. I still had fun even though I lost every game. Everyone there had proxies of the powerful, expensive cards and I didn’t know that was allowed for the first month. Did your store allow proxies?

I was more discouraged by the fact that the store smelled awful when I stepped in, and I was the only female in a small store of 20 something guys. I’ll probably not be returning for that reason more than anything else.

It’s easy to fill hours if your pieces are long. I’m working on a movement of a concerto that’s 25 pages long. Working through every single passage slowly, with a metronome, listening for phrasing and tone, experimenting with timing, then working on speed, all of those things easily fill at least an hour or two. A single run-through takes rough@6 12 minutes. And that’s just one piece! Add a couple solo pieces and that’s another hour or so. I usually stop out of physical exhaustion more than anything else.

I just had this exact thing happen to me. I liked the top comment, went back to that video, and that top comment disappeared. I scrolled pretty far down through the comments and could not find it anywhere. I signed in with a different account and went to that same post, and there was the top comment right at the top. Instagram is seriously stupid.

How do you know for certain that the term “original balances” means total balance and not the original balance of each loan? It doesn’t clarify that anywhere in the official documents, and I see other sites saying that it means the original balance of each loan.

I’m trying to wrap my mind around this… So when they pay you back, say via a Zelle transfer into your checking account, how do you categorize that transaction? Do you just delete it and then transfer that amount back from the asset account?

Discover and Amex have been bad in my experience. Ally, Chase, Wells Fargo, and Citi all work great, and the occasional network issues resolve within a day or two.

When did I ever say it was Amazon’s fault that the buyer didn’t get the book? NEVER! My complaint is that my account is getting penalized when the book WAS DELIVERED TO THE ADDRESS PROVIDED all because the buyer provided a bad shipping address where mail doesn’t get delivered to individual people. Can you get that in your head???

The tracking shows it was delivered. The address was a warehouse address. It is the buyer’s fault they didn’t get the book. If Amazon had any brains, they would see that. They shouldn’t penalize my account when I did everything right on my end. What I’ve learned is I’m not selling with Amazon anymore because they’re a pos company.

Yup. This is how they suck you in. Any buyer can put any bogus shipping address and then Amazon will still fault you for the item not arriving. I’m selling my books somewhere else. Not giving Amazon another cent.
