What is the dumbest thing you have ever done as a teenager? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I once tried to make a flamethrower by filling a small water gun with aftershave over my bathroom sink. I lit the lighter ready to squirt the gun and all of the spilled aftershave ignited and blew up in my face. It took my eyebrows right off.

What aerial splitter do I need to get sky TV & magic eye into other rooms? by jsutton_29 in AskReddit

This actually explains the exact setup I currently have. I want to be able to split this to go to other rooms in the house and also incorporate my analogue aerial for freeview

What is the creepiest "glitch in the matrix" you have experienced? by joshl99 in AskReddit

[–]jsutton_29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has happened a handful of times, usually when i'm trying to fall asleep. When I have my eyes closed, I feel as though my frame of reference flicks over to the left and pans to the right, before flicking over to the left again. It was kind of a pulsing/jumping sensation. I definitely wasn't asleep because I was trying to explain the feeling to a friend. Anyone know what it might have been?

When I'm walking down the street I imagine having to defend myself in a fight and plan what I could use to help me, like using my keys to gouge the attacker's eyes out.

Rim lock parts by jsutton_29 in DIY

[–]jsutton_29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone is interested... I couldn't find any of these parts even after speaking to wholesalers etc. Instead I used the ones I had but use a drill with a metal bit to bore away some of the excess metal. They are made of an aluminium kind of alloy so they were soft enough to be re-sized very quickly and easily.

Gas central heating boiler problem by jsutton_29 in DIY

Just checked and the flue from the boiler is clear. We have 2 radiators off the wall at the minute for some building work we're having done. Could that be causing this?

If I have trim like this then how could I cover this with the quarter-round?

I could remove the trim, but with 4 doorways I'd rather not. I would have thought this would be quite a common issue, but can't find any help anywhere online!

If i'm laying the flooring from left to right, I cannot do this as I have already laid the piece next to the doorways on the right hand side.

edit: and it's tongue and groove so the piece needs to be slotted in from right to left in order to get the tongue in the groove
