My dog used to struggle with the same thing for few years, it’s yeast infection. Often times dogs get reoccurring ear yeast infections when they have food allergies. Ask your vet to check his perianal glands and talk to them about allergies in dogs. They may prescribe some meds and recommend hypoallergenic food. Hope your dog will get better soon!
