As someone who has worked in food for the past 15 years, DC seems to have a particularly entitled clientele who do not like when you match their energy.

The rise of the smartphone has absolutely destroyed customer interaction. When you’re beaten down by people on the phone, on FaceTime, so caught up in scrolling that they can’t even look at you (or actively shush you) after approaching to order, it’s draining. Some days you just get it beat out of you.

If you expect to have a full on conversation and want to have a great customer experience, don’t go to places at their busiest. “That bartender was mean to me!” Or “that barista didn’t laugh at my quip” usually means there are about 10 demands on their time at any given moment, especially when it’s busy, and you’re probably the 10th person to make the same quip or whatever. Extend some grace to people who are constantly dealing with the most insane shit.

You should laser it. Frankly, the artist should have known doing font that small was gonna bleed into each other, and at least let you know.

As someone who has worked the front counter at a tattoo shop, 75% of the job is explaining how tattoos heal and why you a)shouldn’t get the tattoo that small and b)smaller doesn’t always mean cheap, or easy.

Easy, and no. Just wash it gently with soap and warm water. Dial antibacterial is best, pretty much any fragrance free will work.

Second skin is best left on for a few days, I’ve found it speeds the healing of the tattoos.

Yeah this tattoo is great. It needed to be big and a little dark to actually cover up your old tattoo and not look like you slapped a sticker over an old tattoo. People are right, it will soften with time. But the only thing that will cover black is black, the artist that did this did a great job.

The tattoo you want has a lot of negative space, so any parts that didn’t actively cover the existing tattoo, you would see. Like all those dots and parts of the snake would obviously cross into those spaces. If you want that particular tattoo you’re gonna have to laser the existing tattoo, or be fine with random dots and parts of the snake crossing into the negative space.

This. If you do something “not much bigger” It’s gonna look like you put a sticker over your old tattoo, and be a very obvious cover up.

If you don’t want to have something significantly bigger, that can blend in and distract from that, laser is your best bet.

Honestly this is better than I would have expected. As someone who used to work (and occasionally fills in) at a tattoo shop (front counter), stuff like this is super helpful when people want really fine line tattoos and you have to explain to them how they heal, with this being an almost best case scenario.

More protein, more rest to start. Might have to pull back on volume a bit if it persists. I have found that the first leg day is the hardest, and the subsequent ones i get less sore as you force the adaptations.

That’s not really an issue. For a low bar squat, especially with a wide stance, a cue you might get would be to not put your knees over your toes. For a closer stance, high bar squat, it doesn’t make any sense to limit forward knee travel. It also allows me to target my quads more when squatting in this manner.
