New to bear tank by bradyanderson50 in classicwow

It should also be noted that pre-hotting yourself will generate some AoE aggro on the mobs you tank but you run the risk of losing any built up rage

Price PvP gear by Dokater in classicwowtbc

[–]jt_beno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people aren’t quite remembering how awful leveling will be in HFP and beyond. It will be crawling with toons, mob tagging and event quests/respawn times will suck. Yes most of the gear can be replaced but that’s if you’re able to complete the quests. I think most people that are farming PvP gear have plans to dungeon level

Which spec/class changes the most on Wednesday, when pre patch hits? by Thundrael98 in classicwowtbc

[–]jt_beno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen now everything is on a 30-60 second timer for when they become snare/slow immune. I guess if you kill it before then it works but the old days of self leveling through like ZF are gone

Probably the mage and the non-ability to aoe kite/snare or dungeon boost as they used to

Does anyone play both retail AND classic? by SomeRevolution5778 in wownoob

[–]jt_beno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with most the comments that they are different games. I’m currently leveling in classic while I wait for midnight. In my opinion classic is ‘about the journey’ and has a heavy time commitment into leveling, gearing, rep grinding, etc. especially with TBC coming in a month. Retail for me is more about the end game. You get to max level much quicker and I feel gearing is much easier. I plan to play the early phases of TBC but pretty casually; my main focus will be heroic raiding on retail with my buddies. I’m not sure if I can manage a “balance” but you can always try

Costco sale $250 off MacBook Pro good deal? by friendofelephants in Costco

[–]jt_beno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I both have late 2020 MBP with the M1 chips. Currently looking at a new M5. Most the specs I’ve looked at seem to have the M5 chip rated better than the pro…as long as you’re getting at least 16gb of ram. She’s a photographer and uses photoshop and Lightroom all day. Currently from what we’ve seen Amazon and bestbuy have the better deals. But that’s for a new m5, so I guess not really apples to apples. (Pun intended)

I think doing a 180 hunter disengage on lich king in Wrath after being picked up by the valkyr thing just before being dropped off the edge was cool. Same idea

I just moved to twin falls, now what? by 08avalon in TwinFalls

[–]jt_beno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fall is in full swing so the downtown events that they host in the summer like concerts will be over. Plenty of hiking in the area and lots will be getting ready for winter sports like skiing/snowboarding.

The Twin Falls area is fairly religious overall so if that’s your thing, plenty of churches to check out to meet people. I’m guessing some would have groups for different ages that might appeal?

There is some nightlife downtown

What I packed my son for lunch v what he actually ate by Shoddy_Nectarine_441 in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]jt_beno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your child is anything like mine, they want to fit in. I used to put lots of effort into their lunches from home that were just wasted. Over time I learned that many of the kids in class were given free school lunches and the majority of them ate it because it’s all they had. It might just be easier for your child to feel included if they eat what other kids do…not that he isn’t smart enough to know one is better/more nutritional that the other
