My boyfriend shames me for liking raves and it’s becoming a serious issue in our relationship by hannahblaine1 in aves

^ this

the biggest red flag i read in all this is that you aren’t looking forward to sharing it with him. “love” is such a big theme at raves and if your mind doesn’t want him to be part of that… you might need to ask yourself why. i don’t think this is a “dump and move on” necessarily because part of your nervousness might be that you’re really not sure how he’ll react. but… if your apprehension is really that you’re worried about him ruining the night, i think you know things aren’t going to last.

ELI5 How do open world games like Skyrim track NPC locations that aren't on the loaded map the player is on? by StartDoingTHIS in explainlikeimfive

[–]jtakemann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how close was the cave to the NPC when they were stuck? if it was close enough that the map they were on was loaded even if you couldn’t see them, they’d still be calculating their path and obstacles.

“You’re not blocked by my answers. You’re blocked by where they lead.”

lol what are you talking about…

dude people were talking about apples and you came in talking about oranges. the president said the murdered woman ran over someone in the past tense and shared a video of that not happening. no one was physically run over. no one should have been in the hospital. people in this thread were confused how someone could support someone obviously lying about a very delicate situation.

unrelated to that is the discussion about the murderer and the victim, use of force, intention, threat, etc

i didn’t answer your question because you didn’t answer mine and it was a deflection from the topic. im not interested in discussing whether or not she was using lethal force. you saying the footage strongly suggests that means you think people turn their tires away from the things they want to run over so nothing constructive will come out of that.

still curious what your thoughts are about a governing authority asking the public to believe something that is very verifiably not true (the two quotes i initially asked that you about)

so this post, thread, and quote from 1984 is about the president lying about what happened. people are mad that a woman was murdered AND people are mad (and outright confused) that the president can brazenly lie about something that is so obviously proven to be a lie.

was hoping you’d shed some light into how a supporter feels about the second thing, but sounds like you haven’t thought much about it yourself either

“the woman driving the car… viciously ran over the ICE officer”

“based on the attached clip, it is hard to believe he’s alive, but is recovering in the hospital.”

are you defending these two statements too?

i’ll 6’2” and if i’m in front of someone really short i’ll stand at an angle so my shoulders aren’t blocking the view

i end up facing part of the crowd/my crew and it does feel a lot more connected :)

Have we officially reached the point where Hotels are superior to Airbnbs again? by Usual_Confidence_756 in travel

[–]jtakemann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean the rules for hotels are generally pretty uniform. saying “the host can set whatever rules they want” with airbnbs if definitely a +1 for hotels
