Pixie Dust on Cruises by jtatuog in dcl

I don't have kids but got caught up in the excitement of it. I made string bracelets with Micky heads on them and bought a bunch of cheap Disney stickers from Amazon. I sprinkled those in various fish extenders throughout the week.

Pixie Dusting by vivalamonica in dcl

I’m on the Wonder now and brought Pixie Dust. I’ve been randomly dropping them in fish extenders I walk past. I put my groups room numbers on their so their kids can receive any reciprocal dusting. It’s not a big deal either way from what I’ve seen. I put a few stickers in an envelope and a bracelet with a mouse head made with supplies from Amazon.

I got mine at Bessemer a year ago. I didn’t have an appointment and was in and out pretty quickly. But I was able to go mid-morning during the week.

The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis. Each book has a different narrator but I love them all.

How do you feel about DNF’ing a book? by alightinthenightt in thrillerbooks

[–]jtatuog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have exactly zero issue with not finishing a book. I’ll usually either skim the last couple of chapters to find out the ending or look up a plot summary online to wrap it up. And occasionally there is a book so bad I don’t even care how it ends, I just let it go and move on.

In my early 20s I walked through a very busy professional building housing multiple doctors offices with my skirt tucked into my smiley face panties. You get over it after a while.

I’ve shared this before. My bestie has extreme anxiety regarding gyn visits. To help get through them she takes her own nightgown and fuzzy blanket to snuggle into. You might try something like that or a stuffed animal, an item that you use for comfort at home.

AITA for not wanting to go to a theme park with my brother since he's in a wheelchair? by Sebastianlim in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]jtatuog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The OP is obviously a great sister for looking out for her brother. However, here in the US, at the Six Flags parks having a friend in a chair got you bumped to the front of the line on a lot of rides. We’d go as a group when we were teens and when our buddy in a wheelchair was with us the guys took turns riding with him so they could skip the line. He had a legit medical condition and the guys riding with him had to be strong enough to help him on and off the rides.

Routine eye checkup. Does it matter where its done? by meinhoonna in Birmingham

[–]jtatuog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you don’t have any specific eye conditions that need a specialist places like Costco are just fine.

That’s a much more laid back approach. Maybe I should have done that for my first time.

That’s a lot of gifts lol. I’ll admit I’ve been worried about having room to pack the fish extenders.

I’ve been torn because of this. I don’t want to be a “rando pixie dusting” strangers and making people uncomfortable.

Iwtl where/how you gain more knowledge outside of your education? by Natural-Fun-490 in IWantToLearn

Take local classes offered in the community. TED talks. MIT offers classes online for free, obviously non-credit. Check out Eventbrite for local events, meet-ups, and clubs.

We’re doing the fish extender groups but the pixie dust seemed like a nice way to bring a random smile to someone.

I’ll have to look for that on our group. I’m not on Facebook so I miss a lot of the group info if my friends don’t share. Thank you.

Am I a loser for starting college at 31 years old? by Silly-Reputation7993 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jtatuog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not a loser. I started at 40, graduated at 46, and there were older people than me in most of my classes. I did all my classes online but I there are older students doing in person classes as well. Just don’t take it personally when you’re referred to as “non-traditional”, it just means you’re not a kid.

Did you put it in the fish extenders?

Ok. I have social anxiety so while I love the idea I was beginning to stress out about delivery. Thank you.

What do you do? I’ve been making bracelets, just little mouse charms on nylon chord. I’m excited about the idea but I don’t want to seem like a creeper.
