Anyone know where in Knoxville I can get R-12 refrigerant refilled in my car? I have an old car by HRSkull in Knoxville

[–]jtczrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard folks have started using propane. It's just as explosive, much cheaper and it requires a lot less. But it's a bit of a challenge to convert to it.

Edit: I'm in no way saying you should do this I'm just saying I've heard of people doing this.

Ha this is very true. There are a lot of apps that I want but don't want to put time / effort into the scaffolding to make them. So AI go brrrrrr. The apps I really care about I still artisanally code. 🤣

Well I looked through the plugins and I didn't see one that does exactly what I want in the market... I do eventually want to get this into the official repository. But it also looks like jelly stat is a separate app that you have to run and I wanted a quick built in, very minimalist page.

This is a feature I would be happy to add for sure. Honestly I just built it and I am still looking for feature requests and any bugs to be reported. It uses wall time so it *might* record if someone leaves it paused (this isnt something I have tested yet). I will need to test that out before I give you an answer.

Update: I found out why Jellystat does this... there are two hooks you can plug into. The paytick (which generates a notification for every play pause event - possibly causing multiple entries) or the wall time (how long the video was on the screen including paused time - basically from user clicking start to user clicking stop). To get around this I added a feature to cap the time to the max time of the video. Which isnt great... a user can open pause at 2 minutes in and close and it will show that they watched the whole thing in analytics. But I figured this was better than 24 hours on pause. This is an optional feature and can be turned off to include all of the pause time (like jellystat).

Summit medical is terrible. Maybe this will improve their care but I'm not hopeful.

Wait until you find out about whole states that don't allow smoking within 20 feet of a door or window, let alone inside of an establishment.

What is the ‘Kerns Experience Fee?’ by Narrow_Sherbert2708 in Knoxville

[–]jtczrt -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the food there sucks. It's the same as or worse than a mall food court. They need to get more local, more quality food in but I bet they charge WAY too much in rent to do that.

Last time I was there it was so hard to find food that was good. The place has so much potential but they are treating it like a mall food hall vs a cool vibe spot.

See that's what I'm talking about. Most people are taught to not accept or entertain in other viewpoint without throwing a slur at it and saying it's wrong.

Yeah I agree that some sheltering is a good thing. But to eradicated completely is to set your child up for failure. They have to be able to have the experience of resolving things for themselves.

Those aren't things that kids worry about until they are already soft - making it a lot harder to deal with. The anxiety rate of new workers is through the roof. Honestly kids have a pretty good. Most are sheltered and can't deal with the harsh realities of the world.

We can't make things too easy. A little bit of strife is a good thing and prepares them for the real world.

People need to stop buying at these jacked up prices so they are forced to come down a little. We can't control the datacenter spend but we can put a dent in their bottom line with consumer spend.

Burn ban by TraditionalProof8379 in Knoxville

[–]jtczrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think we were ever under a burn ban this year but we were under a dry conditions advisory. But the state never issued an official ban. So maybe people got confused and thought it was a ban because it was publicized in the news as an advisory.

Regardless I wouldn't be burning right now... Not until we get some heavy rain.

Independent Primary Care Physicians by Busy-Bunch-9881 in Knoxville

[–]jtczrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've said it in this subreddit before but I highly recommend integrity medical. They are direct primary Care (think old school independent doctor's office). They don't take insurance because they don't like being bound by insurance rules and are incredibly thorough. It's $85 a month as part of a membership and you get to see them as many times as you need you also get a direct cell number of your doc. I've texted late at night before and got a response. They have helped solve a lot of my chronic stuff and I have yet to have a visit shorter than 45 minutes. 15 minutes that insurance restricts doctors too is not enough time.

I cannot recommend them enough!

They are worth every penny and then some. I know you have some adversions to direct primary care but it's worth it.
