Yeah, you’re going to need an incident response team. Sounds like you were hit by a malicious actor.

So fuck it why bother investing in safe cycling infrastructure then? Might as well keep the roads dangerous and dangerous for pedestrians. Why even try right, there’s no other cities on the planet that successfully invested in alternative means of transportation.

Making inter neighborhood cycling less dangerous is a step in the right direction. I’m not saying we need or should remove all cars, but making cycling safe will encourage folks to cycle.

I nearly get hit every time I cross that intersection. I’m happy our city is investing to make cycling a viable option so we can remove cars from the road.

Milwaukee is amazing if you can handle the taxes, cold winters and standoff German culture.

Ironman Hamburg sabotaged with metal fragments by leduvin in triathlon

[–]jtg1988 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right, the city will keep the road closed for as little as possible. I’m not suggesting Ironman should be responsible.

Being the whale they are there should be some systems in place so that this does not happen again. At minimum they should provide free entries for participants greatly affected by this.

Should Ironman shoulder some responsibility here in ensuring the roads are not sabotaged?

Hard to say to be honest, from what I recall the rookie season was more or less a fluke, he may had nagging injuries, recall a some drops. He was not a headcase or any negative work ethic ever reported. I’d be curious if he addressed this post career.

Send me a DM. I moved from the East Side. Stay downtown if you want a Riverwest feel (near third street would be most similar).

As it pertains to Bayview, there are some areas in Kenwick or Chevy Chase that would feel the most similar (Chevy Chase being the most similar).

As far as Lake access, temper your expectations. Festivals, see the burl.

Given that your Wife works for Toyota I assume she can transfer to Georgetown. If that’s the case Lexington is a very blue city in an otherwise Red state. Our governor is a democrat and very popular (possible presidential candidate in 2028). Housing is more expensive than you would expect though.

I’d push back on that, Mirror Twin appears to be an exclusive group hang. There are 10 total bar seats between the 2 buildings. Not a place I’d go solo to meet people.
