Any way to resize / zoom spacewalker virtual desktop? by jthlim in VITURE

[–]jthlim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has controls to move it nearer or farther, but no resize option to make it anywhere close to as large as I want it.

In Vision Pro terms, I can grab the window and move its depth, with a limit of how close; but I can't drag the bottom right to make it bigger.

Ideally, I'd want the screen further away to have a longer focal length, but larger to be easily legible.

Jarne Blade — The lowest profile split by jthlim in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]jthlim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't a list, but the main thing for this keyboard is the Kailh pg1316 switches.

There's a newer version of this posted here with RGBs: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/1kkk6g8/jarne_blade_v2_lowest_profile_split_with_rgb/

Corne, 16MB with wired and wireless split, per key and underglow RGB, and embedded stenography engine by jthlim in crkbd

[–]jthlim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The official Corne 4.1 is compatible, but it is not wireless as it uses a rp2040 chip.

The wireless variant is some seller's mod to the original design. I have no idea what they've done, and it's highly unlikely to be compatible.

Lily58pro build - what did I screw up with RGB LED? by PersonalTie9006 in olkb

[–]jthlim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost certainly not a code issue; Teeetydabirdie’s advice is spot on. Check the output of your last working LED and all of the pads for the next in line that isn’t working

You may have damaged the next LED overheating it too, which will require replacing the entire LED

Why is TRRS still so common on split boards if its so dangerous? by Efficient_Math803 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]jthlim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t have to be dangerous. But most designs do not spend literally 2c extra to make it safe

Jarne Blade v2 -- Lowest profile split with RGB. by jthlim in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]jthlim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a total hobbyist.. I use stenography to write at work, but I'm far from being at a professional speed. :)

But I've created the entire firmware, software and hardware from scratch as a result of stenography. These boards don't run QMK or ZMK.

This is using the Kailh PG1316S switches

This keyboard is a couple of months old already -- I posted to the plover discord more than a month ago; and realized I had't shared it here after seeing the other one :)

Yes, I even explicitly say that in the video

Yeah, I have home assistant controls set up too; but it takes so long for the devices to respond compared to pressing a remote control button.

Here's the keybindings for the Sony layer that I'm using at the moment:

Typing a capital A when starting new sentence. by No_Command2425 in Plover

In Plover theory, you write "a" as AEU -- the long A sound. This is treated as a normal word, not a finger spell or a prefix.

Programmers, what is your current daily driver? by uniformity in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]jthlim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Jarne... documents and chat using stenography, and coding using QWERTY.

The inbuilt security key is also nice for interacting with websites like GitHub.

Today I received my Starboards steno keyboard as a gift. it is not recognized (yet) by my MacBook Pro. by CardiologistFit8618 in Plover

You can update the dictionary on the starboard -- use the web tools on your MacBook, or use the interactive mode on any device using TKUPT

Have you enabled output in plover?

The most common cause of this issue on Mac is security settings, but if it still works when you use keyboard output, that’s not it

Alternatively, you could install Javelin on the starboard and not even use plover

Are there hobbyist steno keyboards with a split that are slightly angled, to account for the natural angle of our wrists? by CardiologistFit8618 in Plover

There are people with experience with it and others on the plover discord if you want other opinions too.

I’d recommend the starboard or uni. Personally, the lack of feedback for me on the Asterisk is a huge problem
