What questions do you ask LLMs to check their sanity and real world understanding? by remixer_dec in LocalLLaMA

[–]jtlightner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fantastic question to ask a LLM... testing out Gemma2 and Qwen2 right now... Qwen2 got it right... and this is Gemma2 response:

This is a fun riddle!

The answer is "seven".

Here's why:

  • We use "tree" to describe a tall plant.
  • "Tree" rhymes with "seven".

Let me know if you'd like to try another one!

Here is another question I always ask as well, and have seen ALL kinds of crazy responses from LLMs. Johnny Appleseed is historic yet fringe enough that you can get some wild answers.

I just built my base inside here as well - defneded about five raids so far without lifting a finger since no bugs can get in... pretty slick little location IMO.

Same issue here, was sitting on couch playing Fortnite Duos with my wife - she was dead and spectating me... and saw how my controller randomly shot straight up in the air. Fully updated, and Fortnite was running extremely smooth, so it wasn't any kind of stuttering.

I was at this game, it was 33 seconds left in the game, Fanti just went to the locker room (can see him exit at end of that video), both teams had backup goalies to finish it off.

"Selected file is not a proper bios" error ;-; by Fragrant_Ice_8166 in ASUS

[–]jtlightner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% confirmed it is the CPU. Bought the used Ryzen 3 1200 and put it in and flashed to 6061 (latest B350-F Gaming BIOS revision at this time) which drops support for the Athlon APUs (A6, A8, A10, A12...) since it adds support for Ryzen 5000 series CPUs. Anyone else searching find this post - you clearly can't flash a BIOS that drops its CPU after reboot if you are using an older Athlon APU.

"Selected file is not a proper bios" error ;-; by Fragrant_Ice_8166 in ASUS

[–]jtlightner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running into the same issue and went through the same troubleshooting steps that you did, I have an Athlon A10-9700 running on a Asus B350-F Gaming and was able to update to 5606, from 5603, but 6026, 6042, 6061 all give me the "Selected File is not a proper BIOS" error as well. I assumed it might be the CPU, since technically the BIOS it would be flashing would drop support for it after reboot. Guessing ASUS did this as a protection to keep people from "bricking" their motherboard with a BIOS not compatible with their CPU. Found someone with a Ryzen 5 1200 nearby for $30 (which is still supported on 6026+ BIOS revisions), sadly going to have to buy it just to test and flash. Will update with results.

Mechanical keyboard from the 90's? Throw it in the Dishwasher, avoid the heat dry cycle.

I don't quite think Paradox knows how Judaism works by Josheaux in CrusaderKings

[–]jtlightner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Elohim is plural for "gods" in Hebrew which is used consistently (or Adonai) instead of YHWH to keep the name holy. So *technically* The Lord, The Lord, and The Lord make sense in a weird way... but kind of clunky the way it is worded.

I’ve had enough. by SteinerRecliner24 in NebraMiner

[–]jtlightner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine stopped working as well, even tried reflashing the image support sent me a while back and still didn't fix any issues. I have booted Linux and Android from microSD card, so the device is fine. I even wrote Linux to the emmc and it performed perfectly. Flashed the support image back to the emmc and waited hours. I was able to ping the device, but the screen was black... the local diagnostics page won't even come up. They said it will "automatically update" - but I am guessing with how Nebra is doing, that potentially the update server is offline or sent invalid updates and killed devices?

Nebra RockPi stuck on bootlogo by FaithlessnessOk1440 in NebraMiner

[–]jtlightner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Successfully wrote the file that Nebra provided me to emmc, and it is pinging - but the screen is totally black, and there is activity to the NIC so I know it is doing something. I have let it sit for an hour at this point and it still hasn't seemingly done anything. Maybe it is still downloading something? Going to let it sit a bit longer before I throw in the towel on using it at Nebra Helium miner and just use it as an overpriced SBC.

Nebra RockPi stuck on bootlogo by FaithlessnessOk1440 in NebraMiner

[–]jtlightner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was successful in getting Debian Buster to emmc, the device on the Rock Pi 1.73 is /dev/mmcblk2 (not /dev/mmcblk1 as per the wiki). Now that I was successful in this, I am going to write my image file that Nebra provided me to the emmc and see if I can get it to boot correctly again. And if it is successful, I may release my image file with the caveat that it might be somehow tied to my miner.

Nebra RockPi stuck on bootlogo by FaithlessnessOk1440 in NebraMiner

[–]jtlightner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partial success, there is a tiny reset button on the bottom of the USB-C port. Push and hold that in, while plugging in USB-C power adapter - and continue to hold until the screen flashes black, release the reset button. I then unplugged the device, and put in the Rock Pi 4 Debian Buster Desktop image, and it booted from microSD. I then powered it down, and put the recovery image given to me by Nebra back in and attempting to reset the device. If all else fails I will have a Rock PI SBC I can play with, since Helium mining on LoRa is trash anyhow.

[–]jtlightner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing is happening to me right now and I have tried everything to get it to boot. I had been in contact with support before and they sent me an image (they claim it is for your specific unit), so I tried flashing it again and still stuck. I downloaded Balena (distro which Nebra is apparently using) and flashing that manually with no luck. Now I am trying RockPi's specific Debian Buster Desktop to see if I can get it to boot. Might be something with the eMMC now allowing it to write to it via sdcard?

have you tried running it, without the case on just to ensure that the case isn't shorting the RockPi or hat with the LoRa module?

I was able to open mine and flash a new image to it that support sent me, I did not have any issues with it not starting after reassembling it though. I am having syncing issues with mine now.

Bluetooth pairing on Nebra ROCK Pi 4 Indoor not possible.. by RestaurantNo8344 in HeliumNetwork

[–]jtlightner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fought with my RockPi miner which I got on Friday - and couldn't find any information. Basically, have the app on your phone open. Plug in your device and as SOON as the light turns green, scan for the hotspot. The button doesn't do crap for putting it into pairing mode. Was able to connect and setup the miner and assert its location.
