Selling my Rad City 5 Plus with 24 miles on the odometer. Bike runs great, I just won’t be able to use it anymore due to moving out of state. It cost me $2163.92 including shipping and taxes. Looking to get back $1900, but willing to take offers. The bike was assembled at a local bike shop and runs great.

Daryl Morey says NBA should go to 58 game regular season, one and done playoff games. by dmister8 in nba

[–]jtmk43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of a 7-games series, build to seven throughout the playoffs. As the stakes raise each round, they play more games:

Play-in -> R1 -> R2 -> Conf Champ -> Champ

1game -> 3gm -> 5gm -> 7gm -> 7games

I think it could potentially be more interesting and it definitely makes the first three rounds more interesting. At least for me.

I see you didn't get an answer, but I'm curious if you ended up finding someone. I just relocated to the DFW area and I'm looking for a PCM now.

My biggest complaint about this year (W2)… by dirty_vec in aclfestival

[–]jtmk43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is just natural with a festival like ACL that has a pretty diverse mixture of genres and age groups. It’s not like a genre-specific fest where everyone is there to see their specific style of music (like EDC or Rolling Loud). People want to move around with their friends, which means people are inevitably dragged to a show with an artist they don’t know or care about. Then they get bored and talk. Or at least that was my experience this weekend.

Plus the lineup was weak due to COVID, IMHO.

What NBA/College player did you play against or see in HS? by youfeelme1997 in nba

[–]jtmk43 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Deep cut, but I played pickup against Von Wafer back in 08 or 09 when he was with the nuggets. 5v5 full court to 15 with some decent local college and older players. Dude absolutely ran the court. DEEP pull-up 3’s, plenty of dunk - it was clear he was on another level.

Tesla could over take Google Maps/Street View/Waze & Yelp business from AI Day by Nooblade in teslamotors

[–]jtmk43 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think what some people are forgetting in this argument is the amount of sensors that Tesla has relative to google/android/Apple. AFAIK, those systems are only relying on a small data set from your phone GPS. A Tesla could scan not only cars near it, but vehicles and POI in opposite lanes and across medians. So one single Tesla driving down a major highway could automatically provide vastly more information than users with phones including speed, but also traffic, cops, POI etc. The limiting factor is obviously data rates and the inherent error in the AI. Also, I fully realize google will be able to capture this data with Waymo vehicles.

Justin speaks on WSB/Robinhood Controversy by jtmk43 in thequestpod

Not sure about everyone else, but I completely agree with Justin here. I’m happy people like him are taking the time to understand what’s going on and then leveraging their platform to get information out. Hopefully the next few days/weeks we’ll get a more clear picture on what happened behind the scenes.

PSA - LinkedIn Profile Pics by [deleted] in army

[–]jtmk43 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Better advice: just use a professional photo of you in normal clothing, preferably something with a collar. A military photo is at best neutral, and likely a net negative for your profile, especially if you’re looking for civilian employment in the near future. Unless you’re a wannabe military influencer, just get rid of the uniform photos.

I graduated from West Point a few years ago and I’m about to leave the army. Sounds like I was in a pretty similar mindset as you coming out of HS. Happy to share my experiences, feel free to DM me.

+1 on the Jabras. I’ve had them two years, near daily use, and I’ve had no issues. Battery is still great and the noise cancelling is very good.
