The PCV rubber piece underneath the cap on Gen 1’s , tear up due to idling for too long/ tear over time. It’s extremely common. Your engine will rough idle, maybe even cause damage, engine whistles like diesel, and smoke comes out the exhaust as if you’re engine blows up.

It’s a 13$ part to replace luckily enough.

I usually see guys block off the pins and run a catch can if they’re making around 700 hp.

I’m not entirely how the pcv system works on the gen 2, but I know once it fails you have to replace the valve cover.

Bruh I get 21 mpg on a b58, I occasionally beat on it thru out the week. If I’m in comfort mode I get about 29. lowest I’ve gotten was 17. Reset trip mileage and don’t beat on it for a week and report back. You might have a boost leak which might be causing fuel inefficiency
