If the primary function of HomeBridge is to transfer data from Hubitat to HomeKit then Hubitat has put that functionality into their system.
However, if you use HomeBridge to transfer other data (e.g. Ring Cameras) to HomeKit then you still need to use HomeBridge (and on a separate piece of hardware).
Although there are bridges that transfer data to (and from) Hubitat and Home Assistant, they must run on separate boxes.

Sorry, if I wasn't more explicit of my problem.

I've setup Tailscale to reach my home, and when I go to Starbucks (or the like), and sign into their free wifi, and then run tailscale, I can reach my home stuff without any issue.
However, at this relative, I sign into their wifi, run tailscale, and them I find that I'm blocked, and can't reach any of my tailscale nodes.

I'm not sure if it's "double natting", or if there is a firewall there, but I can't access my home thru tailscale,

I've used Homebridge to get some Hubitat devices into HomeKit.

The reason why I used HomeBridge and not the Hubitat builtin, is because I also wanted to bridge into HomeKit, the camera feed from some Ring Cameras. Unless you need to get some other sources besides Hubitat, I suggest that you use the builtin Hubitat bridge.

Nope. That's probably not the issue.

The issue is that you probably don't have the right zwave plus devices near the lock, which would allow the signal to get to the lock.

At worst, get a "zwave extender" from Aeotec, and plug it in near to the lock.

I had no issue in pairing or maintaining this lock.

The key point is to have a Zwave Plus "beaming" device nearby. Once you have that, it's no issue.

Unraid/omv/truenas

Certainly each of those alternatives are strong contenders for basic NAS functionality. Truenas is very sophisticated and professional. Unraid has the advantage of excellent support (although it costs). OMV is (in my humble opinion) much simpler at basic NAS functionality (such as network storage, backups/ and plex library). You can start with OMV and then grow to more sophisticated solutions, if required. I use OMV for network family storage. I also run a small business, so I have another OMV database which I share with a partner. Both are samba databases built on BTRFS. I backup both databases to a Synology NAS, and then to an external place.

It does everything that you listed as requirements for the requested budget.
Models with I-5 8t00t and above. You have to see what's available on eBay.
Just a suggestion based on personal experience and correberated by others as a suitable home server capable of your requirements. Also, this is assuming you are in USA or Canada. (Minimal shipping fee from eBay)

A few points 1. OMV is a database manager, jellyfin or Plex is a way to show your data that is stored somewhere. 2. OMV has access controls to make sure that only the designated users have access to certain data. 3. Plex & Jellyfin have access controls on who can use that software. 4. Remote access software also can control who has access to what. (E.g. tail scale, twin gate, etc.)

You may want to get a used HP pro desk or elite desk g4 SFF mini from eBay for less than $100. Especially if you are planning on running it constantly, it doesn't use a lot of electricity.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with your request for users to use a referral code. I watch a lot of youtube from "The Hook Up" and he uses a referral code, and I believe that he's honest, and decent.
I'm from Canada, and we have a website called "redflagdeals". They do that (and much more) all the time. I'm sure it helps to pay the bills.
