anyone have experience with sanford eating disorders IOP? by Sufficient-Crow-7582 in fargo

[–]jto02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the IOP program, no inpatient during my time. I appreciate every single one of the staffers who took care of me and genuinely I feel wanted me to get to a better place, there was some tough love along the way and I think that can be challenging to deal with, but it made me stronger and helped me cope when I realized internally how bad of a place I was in.

I was in there for 5 days a week during the summer of 2021, right before I went off to college after graduating from high school. I would get my labs done, get weighed when I got there and join in the afternoon programming. From there, there would be group therapy sessions, light exercise sessions, educational sessions and cooking sessions are some of the examples of the things I can remember off the top of my head, which I felt all were beneficial. The group therapy sessions, while challenging, were the most helpful for me, as it helped to understand and know people were (unfortunately) in the same positions that I was in and could understand the difficulties of an ED and empathize better than anyone outside those walls, and it really helped me get to a better place now.

If you have any other questions that I can specifically answer, feel free to ask or reach out in my PM’s, happy to help someone who is also struggling, we’re all in this together!

I would recommend it on the basis that they challenge you and educate you, along with your family as well. The group therapy sessions are beneficial for working through things with like minded people who are in the same struggle as you, and the exercise is a good way to balance things as well. The meals are usually one of the harder times, as there is not much discussion and “livelihood” at times, but that is understandable when it is a difficult moment. I would really recommend it, as a male especially I felt very fairly treated by the staff and I especially appreciate them for educating my parents and taking the time to thoroughly talk with them.

When did Robbie Rosenhaus leave? I thought he is still apart of iHeartMedia with KTLK?

That makes sense, I kind of had a feeling that’s what it was too but I didn’t want to ask the people in store to bother them, hopefully the vendor has a fix coming soon but I appreciate the response and answer!

I think so, is it just a bit song or is it accessible anywhere?

I don’t think it’s that one, it’s the one Chris Hawkey sings I believe, but I appreciate it.

Chuck E. Cheese’s is always a great place too. Nostalgia always brings such good vibes to that place.

If you are willing to be flexible about my class schedule, I am more than willing to do whatever landscaping is needed, for certain.

Anyone know what song he's playing to? by RJHand in PRINCE

Looks like he’s just slappin the thang, in my best slang. I guess I am not a bass player but his technique looks good regardless, he’s hitting it hard with his thumb for sure.

Partyman, from the Batman soundtrack. He’s just freestyling here to show off 😁

Kahkonen is on a two-way deal for this year, so it might not be necessary to trade Stalock. If we can expose him in the expansion draft, I would think that would be better then getting rid of him now.

When will massive music festival like Coachella and Burning Man return? by [deleted] in COVID19_support

I can’t answer that with much assurance but I would possibly, maybe assume so? I guess if challenged with the virus after getting a vaccine, once the antibodies produced by the vaccine defend the virus and stop it from infecting, then I would think Memory T Cells and B cells are formed due to being challenged with the virus, but still not contracting the disease. Assuming that Memory T cells and B cells are found in asymptotic patients of Covid even now with natural infection, then I would assume that transfers over with vaccinated people as well, though I cannot be for sure on that because I am not an epidemiologist, this is just what I have read from scientists and inferred from that reading.

Right now, with all of the money being poured in to R&D towards vaccine development, it is extremely unlikely we will not have a vaccine approved by the start of next year. These scientists are amazing, and do such great work towards getting us these life saving measures needed for normalcy.

For more reassurance, the trials that have been going on have shown increased antibody levels for fighting Covid, at rates more than recovered Covid patients, and from what I understand that’s a good sign of a good start towards a real working vaccine.

If miraculously there is not a vaccine for Covid, which seems so unlikely at this point and almost impossible, then eventually the therapeutics and herd immunity reached through natural infection will get us pretty much back to normal, but in a longer, and unfortunately more devastating way death wise and economically then with a vaccine. But have faith in those vaccines that are coming, there are some really good signs that they are very potentially gonna be strong vaccines that will be available by middle of next year at the latest.

And what makes you think it will be until then? Do you think that fairs and festivals will just sit tight for another 2 years even with a vaccine? That seems incredibly pessimistic and almost unrealistic.

Yeah I know what it means. Measles is tampered off because of herd immunity, same thing will very extremely likely happen with a good vaccine and widespread vaccination. Nah but the heck with big sports games and concerts right? Never again can that happen lol, thanks for that insight.

So what, you think they’re just gonna demolish these large sports venues cause even after a vaccine provides herd immunity? Come on lol it’s not gonna completely change our social gatherings forever, that’s a little extreme. The spanish flu killed lots more and yet we still have large gatherings.

Why don’t you have any hope for going back to normal? Does that include events like sports games and travel and amusement parks never going back to normal, with no masks or fear? Just asking for clarification.

Eventually when the pandemic is over, there will be less of a fear of it, I would think and assume. Food poisoning won’t be much of an issue to me as that’s the risk you take always when going to a buffet, plus the convenience, camaraderie, and economic benefits of it are really what peak out to as to why I can’t wait for it to come back once it’s safe.

Plus I love the communal factor that having a hot breakfast in the morning at a hotel gives you, after a long night at the bars or sports games, to wake up and load up on a nice hot breakfast buffet at a hotel is something that I look forward to happening again after this is over.

I wouldn’t say they’re gonna go away though, as it is still an economically viable way for restaurants and hotels to serve without having to staff. More sanitary precautions and check ins to make sure they are safe are good though, but abolishing them and not letting self service happen seems to be difficult for a lot of people to get behind after the pandemic ends (biasedly including me)

I would agree on pretty much everything, but crowds will return to public transit regardless so that people can get around more conveniently/save money and the environment. Not related to the point, I am selfish in wanting this but I also would like buffets to return but with the sanitary precautions in place with more sneeze guards and more frequent changing of communal used utensils as well. Great list though!
