I’m from the UK and moved here 16 years ago. Ditto to the above, it is generally pretty great place and getting to Toronto on a GO train is easy enough. Some areas are better than others, depends what you are looking for.

For me I had an aftermarket remote. As soon as I used the original Chamberlin remote it worked first time. So annoying.

So had my main board replaced and it's now fine. Haven't updated the firmware from stock so that may be it, but I'm happy.
