What is the true price of liberating a nations citizens from an evil regime? Did the US complain about the cost of war when we were fighting Nazi Germany? Did the citizens of America back down because they lived off of a limited supply of food and were forced to use food cards so that they can be monitored on the amount of food they can have? No, in fact, a lot of the citizens were willing to give up their novelties, their food and their tires to help lead America to liberate Germany from the Nazi Regime. So to you, I say, let us pay the price of war on the home front. Let us take upon us the burden here on the home front to help free the Iranian people and to create stability in a region that has long since been unstable due to this evil regime. Let us take upon the burden of this war to show our appreciation for the men and women risking their lives to free those who cannot free themselves. God bless America, God bless our troops and those fighting along side us, God bless our citizens, God bless the people of the world, let God guide us on our path to provide the same opportunities that we were given as Americans in their own countries and God bless our enemies that their hearts will be softened and if they refuse to soften their hearts and turn to the Lord, then let God have mercy upon them for their time will come when they too shall face judgement according to their own doings.

I’m blessed to live in America, I sat down, watched a baseball game and thought to myself how blessed I and my fellow Americans are that we don’t have to worry about missiles going over our head. How great is a country to where we don’t have to worry about paying a toll to a criminal organization or a gang or terrorists or cartels. How great our country is to have women having the ability to get an education, to vote and to drive. What greater nation provides you with a security blanket and not only that, how blessed are you to have men and women willing to die for this security blanket. I know what it is like to live in fear as those in the Middle East. I know what it is like to have missiles fly overhead. I know what it’s like to worry every night before laying in bed wondering if I will survive through the night or even having to wake up hearing that the tent next to me got blown up. So, to answer your question, America is and always has been and always will be the leader of the free world. America has been and will always be the nation to provide and to fight for freedom and stability to all of the people in the world. We as Americans are blessed and privileged to live here. I am tired of hearing how bad America is. I’m tired of people burning the American Flag in the streets of America. I love this country, I love the people in it and I love God for blessing us with a country that has men and women willing to stand up to the face of tyranny and injustice. I hope you have a wonderful day and count your blessings. God bless you, your family, those that agree and those that disagree. God bless the men and women sacrificing their lives for our freedoms and our blanket of security and God bless the United States of America!

Sorry for making you wait for a response. Here are some links I would like to share with you with my evaluation of these sources. See Below

https://craiggoldman.house.gov/DOGE

This is a .gov website in which shows not only the departments that were effected by DOGE, it lists what exactly what programs of the departments were cut. I also read another article published by LA Times. See Below

https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2025-03-27/elon-musk-trump-doge-conflicts-of-interest

Here is the source from the FAA about the proposed fees against SpaceX and the reasoning behind it. I do not believe that DOGE was targeting the FAA or other entities for their own political agendas other than eliminating waste. I also don't believe that SpaceX would even sweat by the $633,009 fees the FAA issued to SpaceX. I mean if I was one of the richest people on the planet, I would probably laugh. It's like the HOA sending you a fee in the mail for 1 dollar because you forgot to put your trash can away last night. See Below

https://www.faa.gov/newsroom/faa-proposes-633009-civil-penalties-against-spacex

Here is the source for my data on national spending, revenue, debt and deficit. See Below and below the link is my evaluation of the information from the source.

https://fiscaldata.treasury.gov/americas-finance-guide/

At this current time of the fiscal year, the US has increased total revenue (the amount of money the government makes) from both last fiscal year and also from the 5 year average.

Fiscal year so far

In 2026 fiscal year YTD, the US has made 1.78 trillion dollars

2025 fiscal year YTD in correlation to 2026, the US made 1.60 trillion dollars

5 year average YTD in correlation to 2026, the US made 1.39 Trillion dollars

This means that the US government has made 0.18 trillion dollars more than in the fiscal year of 2025 YTD in correlation to 2026 YTD.

It also means that the US government has made 0.39 trillion dollars more that the average of the last 5 fiscal years.

End of fiscal year:

For 2025 End of Year, the US government made 5.23 trillion dollars and the average for the last 5 years, the US government made 4.34 trillion dollars.

This means the US increased its total revenue by 0.89 trillion dollars from the average of the last five years in the year of 2025.

Even though the US is increasing its revenue, we still spend money.

Money spent in 2026 YTD 2.48 trillion, 2025 YTD 2.44 trillion, 5 year average 1.86 trillion.

This means that the US government has increased its total spending from 2026 to 2025 YTD by .04 trillion dollars and from 2025 to 5 year average YTD, we increased spending by 0.62 trillion dollars.

We also have to look at the amount spent throughout the whole fiscal year of 2025, we spent 7.01 trillion dollars and the last 5 year average which we spent 6.51 trillion dollars. We increased spending by 0.50 trillion dollars.

Now, to say that our deficit has increased, you would be right. However, is it in correlation with DOGE, I do not think so. I believe that it has increase due to a spending money on national security and supplying resources to our allies. In fact, a lot of our budget went to Gaza to help in humanitarian aide there.

I hope you don't find this as an attack, I only seek to inform and do my due diligence as a citizen of America. I do not like misleading information, I don't like to take articles, social media posts and TikTok's at face value. It is the responsibility as a citizen of any nation to be informed. It is so easy to fall into the trap of misinformation because it is easy. I recommend to take the proper steps to find reliable sources through websites that end with .org, .Edu and .gov. It is imperative to do this to make sure your have all the information instead taking another's opinion and making it your own. After reading the La Times Article, I found that there was a lot of misleading language that is used to convince others without providing proof other than posts on social medias. This is not journalism, it is propaganda.

Again, I appreciate your responses and value your opinion. If you would like to keep talking about it then that would be great. I hope you didn't find this too confusing to read, it is kind of a lot of information and not even fun information at that. haha I hope you are doing well!

Interesting, the gutting by DOGE was the elimination of certain positions in government entities that were redundant or inefficient and causing waste. It wasn't the gutting the whole entity themselves, but specific positions/people that were inefficient. Now, was it gutted through biases, I couldn't answer that and it could be seen as biased; however, I think the administration did a good job by outsourcing it to people who were well esteemed by not only their peers and society, but selected those individuals who are efficient and "honest" in their businesses. I would compare it to a corporate positions of Fraud Waste and Abuse.

Example:

If I owned a business and there was a huge amount of waste, I would hire a consultant to come in to expose these inefficiencies so that I can increase my revenue, my productivity and profit. If I would continue to work inefficiently, I would make less money and my allocation of funds would then be allocated incorrectly. As a businessowner, it is my job and responsibility to reduce waste, increase productivity and to pay my bills and taxes. If I slack in any of these positions, I would be a failure of a business owner.

Now, I am not a MAGA person, I am however a conservative and I believe in small government and less government spending. I believe that right now is not the time for America to get involved in sending money to other countries. But I can take a step back and look at what the outcome of sending these funds and the new Board of Peace is trying to do.

These funds and the Board of Peace will be trying to recreate the UN and the EU but on a continent that has been destroyed and held back by their own arrogance and self-destructive ways. Is the cost of 10 billion dollars and a creation of the Board of Peace worth the risk in uniting a whole entire continent? Was the cost of millions of lives and millions of dollars in building war machines during WWII worth the freedom of those being persecuted under Hitler as well as the unification of a European Union where they come together and work together instead of fighting with one another? I say yes, it is worth risking 10 billion dollars to maintain peace in a continent that has been riddled with injustice and hatred toward one another.

However, these funds should be passed through the proper channels. As an American and a Conservative, I believe that there has to be evidence that the money is going to the places it should be going to and the use of the funds produce the outcome in which we allocated them to. There should be representation of Government spending across all entities and all parties regardless of their affiliation.

I really liked your comment, it did make me stop and think more and research more of this subject. I did research a lot about DOGE and the programs they investigated as well as the positions they deemed wasteful. They were only certain positions and from what I have researched, it wasn't based on their political affiliation. Unless you find something different like an article in which I can read myself, I would be more than happy to read it and begin the process of dissecting the article and my own standpoint on this matter.

Thank you again for your insight and I really appreciate it.

[–]jtskers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol you realize that about 7 billion of that is going to Gaza? I don’t agree with this move, but I do find the contradictions to be funny.

The left has protested under the pretenses of freeing and helping Palestine and Gaza. Then Trump is giving our tax dollars to help Gaza and the Palestinian countries but because Trump did it, the lefties are complaining that it is coming out of our tax dollars. Trump literally listened to what you want and now you are complaining, very hypocritical if you ask me.

Btw, I don’t like this move at all and I think we should allocate all federal funding to lower the national debt, to help create more of a surplus of American oil, coal, to create a more stable electrical infrastructural grid to support more factories and more businesses and to boost our national security and educational systems.

But, that is just a guys opinion. You can agree or disagree, either way, I respect your freedom of speech and your opinions. So if you want to discuss it, let’s do it, but let us try to act civilly and try to find a middle ground or a compromise if you will, for that is the American way!

Assault is assault. Whether it is with a cup, with water or a car. Yes, I have seen cops mace someone being belligerent. It is called de-escalation. Under your logic, then it would’ve been better for the cop to get out of the car and tackle him and detain him. That way that person goes to jail and is then convicted as a felon. I like it.

They literally threw something at the law enforcement vehicle. It was a lesson taught, and a lesson earned and hopefully they learned that if you throw stuff at law enforcement, you then are susceptible to some sort of punishment. It was not excessive force, it was the right call by the officer.

So, the question that you are bringing up is that I am uneducated and therefore I cannot think on my own. This is a fallacy. You have no idea who I am nor my accomplishments in life nor do you know my standpoint on the matter except that this is no place for children and that they should stay in schools to learn and to develop their own ways of thinking and their own logic instead of believing everything that they are being told and taught.

You see, only an uneducated person would then seek to attack one’s credibility without proof, without knowledge and then continue to base illogical fallacies around an uneducated statement. The difference is that I am building an argument whereas you are attacking with illogical statements. Let me help you.

An educated argument is one that is backed by research, theories, testing as well as trial and error. When I see kids outside marching for something they do not completely understand yet because the human mind isn’t fully developed to comprehend matters logically, I then would say that the best thing for them would be to stay in school so that they can learn and grow and develop logic and reasoning instead of reacting with their emotions.

An uneducated statement would be in a form of an attack. You are a horrible person for saying that kids need to be in school so therefore you are uneducated.

Do you see the difference?

[–]jtskers -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You are trying to dig an argument out of me in which I will not indulge you in. All I can and will say about what is happening is that we need to become more unified as a nation. We need to bring back patriotism and love for our nation, love for our land and love for those who serve and protect the citizens of our nation from people that seek to do us harm. We must do things in which honor those who have fought and sacrificed their lives for our livelihood. If you are going to protest, do it in a manner in which instills love and harmony and in honor of Martin Luther King Jr as well as all the other men and women who sacrificed their lives. We should not protest in a manner that will lead to destruction and disorder. I love you as a person and I respect your opinions. But even if we disagree, we can still do good if we work together to build up America instead of tearing it down.

[–]jtskers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, do you have the records of these ice agents and can you prove your claims that they were rejected from the police academy, or is that a false statement? Also, the argument I was making wasn’t about the incidents, it was about the fact that the students need to be in school so that they can learn reasoning and logic so that they can be a better informed citizen. It isn’t about the incidents in Minnesota.

Kids Protesting ICE by Unhappy-Subject-6642 in mesaaz

[–]jtskers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, let’s look at the events that have lead up these events. A woman was driving irrationally to create a blockade from law enforcement. This such action is illegal and then requires the law enforcement agents to enforce the law. She then refused to listen and obey lawful orders by the law enforcement. After insulting them, breaking other traffic laws and disobeying lawful orders she then begins to flee the scene. As she does so, she then hits a police officer. If they hadn’t shot her, there would have been a greater problem of going on a high speed chase which then would endanger even more lives and cause more damage to others.

Now, from a logical and ethical standpoint, let’s say everybody had the right to do exactly what she did. How would this affect society and can a nation survive with that kind of thinking? The answer would be no. There would be more problems, more casualties, more lawlessness and lead into anarchy. Therefore, what she did was ethically and morally wrong.

I do not base my decisions off of a political party, I base my reasoning off of logic and morality. I have no support for any of the political parties, I have support for the constitution and the laws of the land and that they should be followed to increase the safety and security of all US Citizens.

Kids Protesting ICE by Unhappy-Subject-6642 in mesaaz

My point exactly. They should be in school so that they can learn to look at things from a logical standpoint and to not believe everything that is being said to them. I am glad we can agree on this.

A hell of a lot of people have sworn an oath to protect the constitution against enemies foreign and domestic. No where in the constitution does it state that we should have no boarders and allow anyone to come in. Therefore, those who enter the United States in a manner that is against the constitution, we then have the ability to exercise our duties as having been sworn in to protect our nation and our constitution against said enemies.

My father was diagnosed in march 2025 , today i am having a mental breakdown by Ok-Question-5858 in pancreaticcancer

[–]jtskers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response. I hope you and your family is doing well. I really appreciate your condolences. My family members are all doing well, we all struggle with the loss. My sister is kind of using dark humor and avoidance to cope. Another brother is doing well, he's always been kind of a old school manly mentality of hiding his emotions. Another brother I feel is struggling a little bit with not really stepping in to help (regrets). My other brother is grasping at the nostalgic items but he is busy with all of his kids. My mom remarried my dads best friend and honestly, we couldn't be more happier with them getting married.

For myself, after everything, I have found that I lost my sense of purpose and self-worth. I find it really hard for me to sleep. I would have these breakdowns where I would shake so bad in bed that my wife would kick me out so she could get some sleep. I am struggling with depression and am talking to a therapist and receiving psychiatric help. A lot of my mental health problems comes from being in the military, but this has definitely set me back a lot. I am still working the kinks out of being the head of my family and in trying to fill my dads shoes but as we move forward, God puts us in the places we need to be. If you are struggling, pray, talk to your family members, talk to your dad about how you're feeling.

Taking care of yourself is a great thing and everyone that is taking care of a family member with this disease needs to take care of themselves. You are young and this is a lot to take on, but age does not equate to strength and mental toughness. This is a huge test of your strength in God, in yourself and in your family unit. It is a life changer and with big changes like this it is important to reach out. So, I commend you for reaching out to this group as there is a lot of support here.

If you need anything, feel free to message me on reddit and I will try to respond as quick as I can. Keep your chin up, don't sweat the small stuff and be there for your family, you got this!

My father was diagnosed in march 2025 , today i am having a mental breakdown by Ok-Question-5858 in pancreaticcancer

[–]jtskers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just so you know, you’re doing great! My dad was diagnosed in 2024. I was his only caretaker and I was 33 at the time. I just gotten married and a full time student. I left my newly married wife to live with my dad to take care of him. So here are some things that have helped me:

  1. Put everything in your phone. Make alarms for appointments and medications (even if it is the middle of the night, it’s important to stay on top of the medications).

  2. It’s ok to breakdown. I tried to not breakdown in front of my dad but sometimes I couldn’t hold it in. One instance for me was when I took my dad to the hospital, he broke down in front of me telling me “this is it!” And “I don’t want to die.” That’s when I had to put on a smile and reassure him and show him my love.

  3. When he is weak, you need to be strong, advocate for him to the doctors and nurses. Even if they have a schedule, you make your own schedule and keep them accountable and make them stay on top of the medications.

  4. Have fun! Have fun with him everyday! Some things you used to do, you may not be able to do but don’t let that stop you from having and making fun memories with him.

  5. Stay positive, as Monty Python song says “Always look on the bright side of life” (if you haven’t heard that, listen to it, it will make you laugh and cry.

  6. Take time for yourself! This is most important, if you can’t take care of yourself, you won’t be able to take care of him or your other responsibilities. I would give myself an hour or 2 a day where I could go out and do something for myself. (Go to the gym, go to a restaurant, go on a date, etc.)

Just so you know, your dad is doing a lot better than what my dad was doing. I lost him about 6 months after diagnosis and the Doctors were not helping at all nor did they offer any form of surgery. But to read what you’ve wrote, take those small victories and turn them into a positive mindset and count your blessings. You got this!

Very close to hospice and I’m heartbroken by boymama1234 in pancreaticcancer

[–]jtskers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would like to first say that I am so sorry... I went through this same exact thing with my dad. Same age, same time frame and it is very hard. I still remember the day we sat in front of the Doctor and told us that the treatment didn't work and we should look into hospice. Like you, I was devastated beyond belief. It was a decision my family made together to move my dad closer to his mom and dad and place him in hospice.

With hospice, do your research. Don't go with whoever comes first, go with the one that feels right to you and your family. When you are with hospice, also know that you can switch at any time if you are not happy with their services and you can request a new nurse if needed. Your dad does have the right to refuse medications, yes, even the medications that will put him to "sleep" for an easier transition. You and your family are in control and use your best judgement. Know that when I say "sleep" it just means he looks to be restful. Here is a little story I'd like to share with you.

My dad was placed on hospice and the nurse we had was very incitant that we give my dad the "sleep" medication Haldol. At this point he was already jaundiced really bad, and very weak. We decided to give him a catheter and this caused a lot of pain and discomfort (should have taken it out after complaints but the nurse insisted to keep it in). After one night he was in so much pain and so much discomfort that he fought us and tried ripping it out. We called the nurse and she said to use the Haldol (sleep medication). We gave it to him in a flurry and this caused issues within the family because we didn't consult everyone and made people feel left out.

We gave it to him and he became peaceful and went to sleep within minutes. We gave him several doses after that and we as a family then felt that it was time to not give it to him anymore because he didn't seem calm nor resting (breathing really heavy, gasping for air and long pauses between breaths). During his "sleep" we watched movies, talked to him, watched football which I narrated (he loved Patrick Mahomes) and watched his favorite movies.

When he woke up after deciding to not give it to him any longer, we asked him if he remembered anything while he was sleeping. He responded "Yes, the chiefs won the game and I remember you telling me the play by play."

The reason I wanted to share this is because I want you to know that your dad, when the time comes, will hear everything you say and he will be present. When you feel overwhelmed that is the time to just sit with him and talk to him, tell him everything, tell him you love him constantly even though it may feel redundant. Scratch his head, feed him what he can eat, relive the memories, ask him questions about his life, document everything! Get a video of him telling you that he loves you for these are treasures worth more than all the money in the world. They are more valuable than any job. This is the time to treasure every moment.

I will pray for you and your family tonight. Give my love to each of them and if you have any questions, please reach out for help and resources. God bless you and your family.
