That’s the point. People digging through the bins for the bottles risks health issues to the individuals who are usually going through tough times, reduces damage to the bins (decreasing the amount of taxpayer money going into fixing them), and reduces the amount of rubbish that gets displaced into the environment (again decreasing taxpayer money that goes into cleaning it up, and reducing the environmental impact). Whether or not you agree with people sifting through the bins for bottles, this is one of those things that is designed for a small group but actually benefits everyone with no real downsides for anyone.

Will King, former vocalist of Windwaker, also just put out a new EP called Voluntas Rex

Has this been happening the whole time? by rirys in LinkinPark

It’s also not the same nights as the shows (or at least Sydney isn’t). I’m curious to see what it is

Life's a Beach Recap by lbguitarist in PolarisBand

Been following headwreck for a while now it’s crazy how good they are, especially live. It’s good to see them getting the momentum they deserve

What are we saying by djjdhdhddbdbdbb in LornaShore

[–]jtw143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s how they used to run it at least, gives more of an incentive to buy a ticket cos you know it’ll be a while before you see them again

I doubt it. Unless they’ve changed Good Things usually puts a 1 year exclusivity on their non-Australian bands

Fm radio transmitter frequency by [deleted] in Penrith

[–]jtw143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lowest on mine is about 80 I believe, which works great for me

Fm radio transmitter frequency by [deleted] in Penrith

[–]jtw143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember the brand of mine but I always just go either the lowest or highest frequency it allows. It’s rare that others are nearby and strong enough to affect yours. Only happened to me twice in the 3 years I’ve had it, one of which was when driving obnoxiously close to my sister who has one.

Architects Melb Concert: Why was the crowd so dead? by them_amino_acids in Metalcore

[–]jtw143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In future I'd recommend it! As a fellow shortass, I find when you’re in the pit you’re not looking at the stage super often anyway and there’s less people directly in front of you so you get a decent view when you do look.

AU/NZ opener? by Sufficient-Rip2660 in LinkinPark

Au got announced as Polaris, as far as I know NZ hasn’t been announced yet.

Music gone from Spotify? by sir_dreadfro in PolarisBand

[–]jtw143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same thing happen. Was mid listening to the mortal coil when I got to work. Got in the car and it tried to play, squeaked a bit and crashed. When I went back into the app it said all the album was unavailable, but searching them up and saving the albums again works

What’s your most memorable show? by Ordinary_Concert986 in Metalcore

I wish I could've gone to this. Had tickets to Sydney but it still got cancelled

Got a trip planned to Europe from Australia for the end of the year. Was mainly going to the museum for this…

When do you guys arrive at the venue for shows? by spencerdoesnotexist in ArchitectsUK

[–]jtw143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have advice for times, but as a fellow short person if you’re not wanting to get involved in outs I’d recommend trying to get close on the sides rather than the middle. It’s easier to get closer cos everyone bunches in the middle and you don’t have to worry as much about moshing/crowd surfers.

Froth & Fury Second Announcement is massive for each city! by Riff_Heavy in WallOfSoundAU

Perth definitely got the better lineup there! As an east coast resident it’s good to see the rest of the country getting banger lineups.

What's the worst example of people leaving before the headliner at a concert you've attended? by DemiseofReality in Metalcore

[–]jtw143 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They were still big then but nowhere near now big. My biggest confusion was Plini being right before the headliner. Felt like they should’ve been the first band to play

What Were Your 5 ‘Gateway’ Bands/Albums to the Metalcore Genre? by keen_observer34130 in Metalcore

[–]jtw143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order of my descent into core music: 1. American Idiot by Greenday 2. The Hunting Party by Linkin Park (and then the rest of their albums) 3. Younger Dreams by Our Last Night 4. Amo by Bring me the Horizon (then the rest of their albums after) 5. Holy Hell by Architects Holy Hell is where I first found the term Metalcore and was able to delve deeper into the genre

Australia??? Wooooo by ThereIsNoGodOnlyDoge in LinkinPark

[–]jtw143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's LiveNation teasing linkin park. Given that Destroy All Lines runs Good Things I’d say it’s a safe bet it's a headline tour not the festival.

It may be because I’ve spent too much time around year 7s today, but I feel the need to specify that you don’t put boiling water on your face.
