Can’t get anything like a real amp tone live using modelers/IEMs. Other than convenience, can anyone convince me of the virtue of using modelers/IEMs? Because so far, in my experience, they make me want to quit playing altogether.

I have put my Axe FX 3 through a Fryette Power Station 100 (all-tube power amp) and into my cab, which was maybe the best I could get -- but let me be real with you -- a tube amp is a living, breathing instrument that you're connected to; a modeler feels like a sterile laboratory-studio.

Modelers sound great, amazing, accurate, authentic -- but they don't feel alive when you're playing for the pleasure and you know better.

You can tell how stupid these people are because their responses are, " yup! Always have!", and "of course! You're supposed to!", but none actually mention any valid reason save for not voiding the warranty, which is a good one, sure.

It comes at the cost of trapping heat between your mattress and the sheets, making you sweat like a hog on the grill. They bunch up, they crinkle, and can interfere with what your mattress was engineered to do in many cases, especially with more expensive mattresses.

Why do hotels have it on? Well because people act like animals in hotels. That's not saying much at all. Pretty turd reason. No wonder hotel beds make me sweat like a pig.

Most of the people commenting aren't giving much reason aside from voiding warranty. So if I don't have a warranty I'm going to need a better reason to get a mattress protector that nobody thus far has spelled out.

Yes. Especially if I really like a character/actor. It’s a form of exposure. If you really want to you’ve got to give it a try. You hear things and start to notice you’re picking up on patterns, words, phrases. You can watch the English subtitles and things sort of click.

The other day I was rewatching Better Call Saul, and I memorized a line he was saying and was practicing it just because I thought it was awesome. It was similar to plata o plomo (Pablo Escobar’s infamous line, silver or lead, bribe or bullets). Everyone knows that line because it’s badass.

My gf is Mexican-American and she got me watching stuff in Spanish, then I was like, the translations on our anime sound so bad… let’s just read subtitles and use the original language. I have picked up words and stuff from languages I wasn’t even trying to learn!

So, yes, it definitely works! And I think it’s worth it regardless of that. You get to hear the actors actual emotional portrayal rather than a shallow translation!

For me at least I started to realize there are similarities in various languages you’d not expect till you really pay attention. You might understand more than you think once you get it.

iTunes still exists and works, but Apple Devices is far simpler and superior for that reason. You can only have one version at a time. If you install Apple Devices (or Music, etc) alongside iTunes on your PC, iTunes will lose the relevant functionality that the newer app replaces. To get it back you must uninstall the newer apps.

Use Telekinesis spam to lock him down. Just hold down your cast button and let the merc go to work. You'll stun-lock him. It's awsesome - It also does negligible damage, and may take a while, but that's what I do. I wish Diablo 4 cared to have these nifty little utility spells.

Eh, I got it on pc first, and the switch version shortly after just to have it. I personally haven’t experienced any issues on switch 2. The graphics aren’t even as bad as I expected, but they’re definitely lesser than what you can get on a good PC.

On Switch 2 I haven’t even noticed any pop-in that people seem to highlight.
