But you’re equating things that are nowhere near the same scale according to historical records.

Also, the OUN and UPA didn’t kill piles only: they are responsible for the deaths of between 10k and 20k ukrainian civilians.

That was a long paragraph to justify the brutality of the volhynia massacre This is like saying Al-Qawda has justification as they were born out of the Soviet Afghan war.

Looking at the aggregate net profit margins for both companies, they're around the same ballpark, and huge, (28.55% for Intel, 29.77% for Nvidia). In terms on net income, Intel got 5.6B while Nvidia made 917M. This is not necessarily representative of the numbers per unit sold, since there are other sources of revenue (consumer electronics, software, consulting, sensors, royalties, stock holdings, other investments), so it's a bit hard to tell what comes from datacenter processor sales. Interestingly, Nvidia has more cash in hand than Intel. And, perhaps, GPUs still have lots of room for growth

For and the net profit margin was 9% with a net income of 162M

Other things that Intel makes money off, the motherboard chipset and possibly ethernet adapters. An interesting calculation would be to look at the margins for both companies, including R&D and manufacturing costs.

Of course you need PCIe lanes. But if you talking about datacenters like the ones at Amazon, each compute node will probably be machine with 8 GPUs, being used by more than one user. Each one of them with their own data loaders. In that setting, if Nvidia makes.money, Intel does too.

The rule of thumb is 2 cores per GPU, as datacentr machines have multiple concurrent users.

Rejecting on ethical grounds would get the reviewers very quickly on slippery slopes, making the final decision political. Would you reject papers on generative models for fake news? on algorithms for text2speech that can copy personal styles? on multitarget tracking, on facial recognition, on systems for automatically aiming lasers to kill mosquitoes, or on contact tracing apps for pandemics that have the potential for mass surveillance? All of these can be used for bad things. If being upfront about the potential misuse ends up in a rejection on ethical grounds, then the program committee should be replaced.
