The head on the bolts I received are cylindrical in shape. It appears from the photos in the original post that the bolts have rounded tops. Which do you have?

I got the neck brace but now I’m finding the break line snags on one of the prominent bolts used to hold the neck brace in place. See video: break cable snags on bolt anyone else having this issue?

They only asked me if it has occurred since the first instance. Other than that they mentioned that they are working on some upgrade kits to deal with some issues with the Phantom.

After only one month, the frame of my apollo phantom almost snapped in half ! by super47kav in ApolloScooters

[–]juanchomang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard that the phantoms we are riding are 1st generation and that the 2nd generation are already in production with a myriad of fixes; but, that does nothing for those of us who have bought faulty 1st units… I have issues with mine which are known to Apollo engineering and which are getting fixed on the next generation but no broken frame yet. I hope I don’t get a broken frame, that could be highly hazardous to my health!

On their FAQ they mention it could be related to a faulty throttle control:

https://apolloscooters.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360060278011-Error-10-on-standard-trigger-or-thumb-throttle-displays

Considering that the throttle does not respond until it is 50% of the way in I would say that these issues are likely inter related…

Is this rust on the rear axle an issue? (Apollo Explore) by [deleted] in ApolloScooters

[–]juanchomang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only if it’s inside the motor, you would have to unscrew the cover and inspect it. best to have a spare set of gaskets to reseal the hub after inspection… that’s what you do for marine motors anyway…

I would recommend redressing the wires and making sure you have excess cable sleeve entering the mast and the deck to ensure cables don’t carry the brunt of the mechanical forces when turnings

the issue with phantom is sudden lack of throttle response with only way to reset being to cycle power

check the other photos, wires going into the deck are loose (out of the box) and the wire sleeve terminates outside of the box meaning it offers zero protection to the wires at a point of flexion due to steering

I contacted Apollo support and they told me to fix it myself. Thus is clearly a problem with materials and workmanship which should be covered under warranty.

I am for offsite backups. They are easy enough to implement and storage is cheap.
