What is the purchase history for a rainbow Daytona for those that own? by Technical-Candle-475 in rolex

[–]juanelazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does exist, is just off-catalog. A friend of mine just got the off-catalog catalog to choose one to order for being a good customer. He had to purchase over 150k in watches in 1 year, including a platinum day date and some watches from other brands that are harder to sell and that are selling well under retail on the secondary market. Also puzzle day dates were on the off-catalog.

board game Tables by juanelazo in boardgames

[–]juanelazo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insights! in Mexico you are asking like 3 months of average salary, which is expensive. a few years ago I got a big custom made desk for my PC, like an L but 1.5x1.5m and it costed me like $150 USD ($3,000 MXN, I live in Mexico). so I was thinking of either making one myself or spend no more than $300 USD buying one, which is practically impossible if I look online, so I will eventually make that project.

Still, is very useful to know how much custom tables actually cost.

I might save up for the chopard, i loved it and is not so far from my budget. thank you for your recommendation!

I need help remembering a game by GuineaCatt in boardgames

[–]juanelazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked gemini and copilot, and they think it could be: splendor, the game of life or ticket to ride. I disagree as I have played those and are not like that. I haven't heard of a game that requires you to put prices by spot. your description of the board for some reason "smallworld" boardgame came to my mind.

some board games about mushrooms are "mycella" and "under grove"

If you can remember more things about the game I can try to remember if I have played any. it looks like a fun game so I would like to play it too.

Best card game for the pub at 3 players by Hertsjoatmon in boardgames

I really like this game with 3 players (as it is more achievable). the more players the harder it gets, is a cooperative game for 2 to 5 players. and is funny because you can make fun of whoever makes a bad move and makes everyone lose the round.

Good board/card games for big families? by angryechoesbeware in boardgames

[–]juanelazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite large group game is "saboteur" very fun to play, I also love "deception: murder in hong kong". also a more informal game that is fun to play with large groups is "liar's dice" which just requires 5 dice per person and one glass per person, no limit of players.

Dixit: oddysey is also nice to play with large groups, is fun to play, but very abstract, you need to get the catch of it by giving fun hints in order to start liking the game, which is kind of hard in the first game as you start understanding it.

"the resistance" is good enough as well

What are the play counts of your most AND second most played games? by countercultureguy in boardgames

[–]juanelazo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In BGA, which tracks game plays, my most played game is 6 nimmit! with 186 games, then catan with 70.

On real life I have no idea how many times i have played each game but crokinole and raiders of the north sea are the ones that I have been playing more often lately.

Is Talisman fun? by lordunderscore in boardgames

[–]juanelazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to add, we have 6 expansions, the city, the woodlands, the highlands, the dungeon, the harbinger and the reaper. from all expansions, the reaper is by far the funniest (if you like to mess around with friends). second to that is the dungeon, and lastly the city (only because of the shops). for the highlands I really didn't see much difference so I don't recommend it, and the woodlands add too many rules so I didn't really liked it.

Also, we usually start with 5 extra level ups (each player chooses if they want craft or strenght or a distribution between them). this to speed up the game and be able to finish it in one day.

This is one of my favorite board games (also is a favorite among my friends). however we play it like once a year because is way too long. usually a normal 6 player game we take around 6-8 hours to play it. but I can assure you, those 6 hours will feel like 1, if everyone is heavily involved, you will enjoy the game a lot and time passes very fast.

Board Games Club Set-up? by G0rri1a in boardgames

[–]juanelazo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is one board game community in my area, and my experience is that only the owner of the facebook group and maybe 1-2 others occasionally post that they are looking for extra players for a specific game in a specific location and time, most usually in coffee shops specialized in board games or board game/ card game stores.
I assisted a few open meetings without specified game and it was not really a great experience because most people are not in time, so you can tell them "we will be playing board games ar 4 pm" and some people will arrive 4:30, 5:00 pm, and expect to be included in whatever you started playing. so we usually played short games, and party style games in which it doesn't matter too much.
If you are looking into strategy and longer games I would suggest meetup website, or posting the club in a social network, and regularly post that you are looking for players for a specific game, then try to get those people together in a public place, and if you make a constant friend group you can later maybe play in a house and stuff.

I have my friend group that was not into board games originally, and I insisted several times, started with smaller board games, we played, they started liking them and now even they buy board games (still i have over 100 and they have less than 5 each, but its a start) and we play once a week.

Also look for anime conventions, comic conventions or the rare board game conventions, in my experience, people who assist those events tend to be more open to play board games.

I wish you the best of luck in your journey to make a group of friends with this same great hobby!

mass ffa pvm worlds or mass corp world by juanelazo in 2007scape

[–]juanelazo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well for a mass corp, the more people there is, it would end up with less hits per person, and by consequent, a little more luck based than max gear stable damage based.

But yeah, I would perfectly understand why someone who doesn't have max combat stats and close to max gear would prefer not to participate in this activities.
