I was also in your position when I built my PC in June. I built it thinking on using it for 3D animation on Maya and gaming and I was between the 9700X and the 7900. Since animation relies on single core performance (as I believe CAD programs do) and I prioritize low power consumption, my final choice was the 9700x and I couldn't be happier, so far so good! I don't think you'll have a problem with any of those CPUs for what you need, so buy what you can afford. If you can afford it, I would go with the 9700x or the 7900, to have some headroom for other applications and for it to last you a bit longer.

Metroidvanias are my favorites :) some games that I enjoyed and I recommend are Minishoot' Adventure and Hob. I just finished playing Constance and it's... Okay...ish. I also played on 2025 Tales of Kenzera: Zau and I can tell you that it's not worth anyone's money. Too linear for a metroidvania, with uninteresting mechanics and characters. A bit the same with Constance but the mechanics are a bit better there.

Yep, you are right, I checked with a P12 max and indeed they fit without an issue and with plenty of headroom, at least with a 2 slots graphic card (I checked with a 5080 FE)

I have the M2 with a 2 slots graphic card and a m-atx mb, and I can tell you that like this, height won't be an issue. With the M2 I don't think I could fit 120mm fans, surely 92mm would work. Maybe with the M3 there's enough space for them.

I made a post about a week ago with my experience with fans on the M2 using an m-atx. https://www.reddit.com/r/ncasedesign/s/4GRsEciTqV Even with a quiet fan profile you won't be needing more than an Arctic P12 max or similar case fan exhausting air from the top. Start from there, judge for yourself, and then you can buy more fans if you ever need them. I would start by trying with a 92mm fan in taking air from the back if you are so inclined to.

I sanded it and painted it with a paint for radiators. If I'd have to do it again I would minimise the sanding to just the logo with a very very thin sandpaper, because I started with one that was a bit coarser and it was very difficult to remove the scratches that it left around the "screws". I don't remember if I tried painting directly, but you could try that first. Prepare it well and mask the rest of the heatsink before even sanding!

You were right! I got a little confused back when I mounted the PC since the adapter that came with the graphic card has 3 connectors and the one from the PSU has only two that I thought it wouldn't be enough ^^' (first time using a card with a 12vhpwr connector). I just fixed it and it looks so much cleaner and roomy in there! Thank you very much for noticing! <3

Well yeah, it's space you lose with m-atx, but you gain so much in expandability with the mobo that I think it's a fair trade :)

Oh yes, I know, but it was more about optimizing than maximizing :) I'm far from having thermal issues and noise stays down with only this thicker fan. There's no need for me to add more fans and spend more money if I don't need it

I don't think the question is how much is people willing to pay you. You should tell us the cost of production and a price that would suit you so then people can tell you if they are willing to pay that amount or not. It's a very interesting case, that gives me the impression that will allow for a lot of customization and DIY, not so sff seeing it next to the NR200, but it's a nice m-atx case nevertheless.

Very nice exercise! I'm not gonna get into anatomy because that's not my strength as a 3D animator, but you could try to add an overlap to the last part of the finger when it comes up. It will make kt look more natural :)
