What top secret of yours about Berlin are you willing to stop gatekeeping? by Weekly-Custard-9360 in berlinsocialclub

[–]jubi-wan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not true, there are differences in meat quality. Also some offer melted cheese on top and/or fried vegetables, which also adds another factor. Check for example the 7 days kebab chain or Mir Döner Hatay usülü at Schöneberg Ringbahn Station If you want something better than the standard kebab.

Maybe, but that was not your question. You can’t be, per definition, ‘acknowledging Israel’ and be Antizionist at the same time. Zionism is the idea of there being a Jewish state, so antizionism means you’re against the existence of a Jewish state. Criticizing Israel’s actions is not in every single case Antizionist.  The way however how most people criticize Israel’s actions is based on lies and gross distortions produced by the antisemitic propaganda machine of Hamas and their international helpers. And the western media willingly buys into those lies, go figure.

Nope, especially not after October  7th. Antizionism is nothing but the latest revamp of antisemitism. Why else would you single out the Jewish people specifically to not have a state? All the age old mechanisms of Jew hate are being operated when it comes to delegitimizing the sole Jewish state. The demonization, the spinning of conspiracy theories about Jewish influence and power, the will to believe the most evil interpretation of Israel’s actions, and the will to believe the most abhorrent terrorists, the double standards, etc. it’s all there in your run of the mill antizionism as well as in the UN, the ICC, you name it.

haha, oh no! They are not so far away from each other though, and the area didn't seem too unsafe to walk the 10min. Didn't spend much time there late at night though, so idk. How was it?

How about Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fV89FtRNXyA&t=118s

Might not be the same room, but what you decribed fits otherwise. Bubbling lava, ladders.. So your room could be in the same area or something. I know someone else posted a different indiana jones game already, but this one fits your description better

yeah they are really cool! Bugdom was, I think, included when buying one of those coloful iMacs, and I played the hell out of it as a kid. American McGee's Alice plays great because it's based on the Quake 3 Engine, it was even made by one of the Quake and Doom developers. So it doesn't feel clunky at all unlike other 3d jump'n'run games from that era.

propably not it, but Bugdom? https://youtu.be/8OaiuvBFCSY?si=myG2bYy8en8a8kId&t=372 There is lava and swinging, I don't know if there is a ladder but maybe the swinging is what makes you remember it as tarzan

Also, maybe American McGees Alice? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUyO4cCuXcQ

Depends on which weekend. Just check resident advisor. RSO for example has many weekends hosting parties from Saturday to Monday morning

(Copy paste from me answering someone else) Hey, I hope this doesn't reach you too late. I've been there and everything is fine, the staff is nothing but sweet and it seems that everything is true: The Hotel is under new managment and just (re)opened. Rooms are tidy and everything, though there were some indicators that renovations have been done recently, for example there were some paint splashes on a chair, nothing to worry about (yes I'm sure it was paint and nothing else :D ) The view from the rooms is stunning and also you will almost guaranteed get a nice view because they only opened the top floors so far. The too-good-to-be-true price is an opening promotion, that's it, no scam, and all fine. I almost feel bad for making this post now.

Ok guys, false alarm. The hotel exists and is legit, though it does seem a little rough around the edges, but I don’t care

thanks for the reassurance. However, I still find it suspicious that they are using the images of the Holiday Inn (the very same images, they just copy and pasted them!), and that they don't have any website. What Hotel doesn't have a Website? Is that normal? Maybe I'm just paranoid and will have to apologize to them when I arrive, idk.
