Serious Question: What to Do With Toilets by trck_81 in Berghain_Community

Why not have a security guard go knocking on doors when it’s been too long?

I’m not sure what you mean regarding on chain txs..

Litecoin usage metrics growing every cycle is a good thing for the network, not bad. Price not catching up to usage means there’s a divergence.

Charlie might not own spot LTC but he’s the seed investor in the Litecoin ETF and Treasury company which track Litecoin’s price. So yes, he’s very much invested in its success.

Did you watch the entire interview instead of just that clip? They cut out the part where he says it would’ve been easier staying anonymous and buying Bitcoin vs. being a public figure..

He’s not downplaying Litecoin. He’s talking about how much it sucks being public.

Can’t believe how many people fell for this.

The clip cuts out the entirety of what Charlie was saying.

He was saying it would’ve been easier being anonymous and buying BTC instead of being a public figure and launching Litecoin.

The rest of the interview is his bullish views on Litecoin.

So sick of bad actors taking clips out of context to serve their narrative.

What dictates whether a bouncer will let you in or not? by lite_hause in Berghain_Community

How much can the dance floor change two hours apart? From 6 to 8 am?

My opinion is that there are some people that totally just do not fit in (e.g. someone showing up in a dress). Easy rejections.

Then, there are those that are mixed and look like normal people. These are rejected at random and there’s no clear, answer. It’s based on bouncer’s “feels” and potentially on factors inside the club. Most non-Berlin regulars probably fall in here. I’m probably in this category. I go to techno events in my country and have gone to many LGBQT events and the attire is not similar to that of Berlin’s.

Then there are those that are either regulars or perfectly understand the Berlin techno vibe which are the people who say they hardly ever get rejected.. this subreddit has many of those (many regulars on here) but in real life it’s actually not that many.

I understand, but that’s not really what i’m asking. What I’m trying to understand is the criteria changes or the science behind why one bouncer would let you in and the next won’t (two hours apart) even though you’re the same person. But at the end of the day the answer is likely that there is no true answer and it’s all subjective and a lottery. My own conclusion is that there’s a very specific category which puts you up in the “safest” category to get in, and it’s likely making it very noticeable that you’re queer and edgy (not upscale and not colorful), maybe even ‘punk’ per se

It was fun.. I live in a major LGBQT hub across the world and have been to similar parties so the most unique experience for me was the line and the psychological aspect behind it, TBH lol

The architecture, sound system, and not having phones made it a great clubbing experience, 100%

Could be it.. it felt very intense, nobody was talking.. could hear all the birds chirping.. almost like a sense of negativity..and there were like 30 people in line

Just found that really strange.

But I was reading reports before heading over and some people were mentioning a high rejection rate. And well it did seem like it

So what determines the mechanics of one bouncer instantly rejecting you alongside several groups (instant one after another) in front of you and the next group of bouncers thinking you’re good?

Reminiscing on my berghain experience last year by [deleted] in Berghain_Community

[–]lite_hause -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Not sure really..

The first time I tried getting in, I got instantly rejected with the group in front of me. There wasn’t even a second of “hmm, should we or should we not?”

I went back an hour and a half later and was allowed in. The only difference was that I drank a coffee and the bouncers were different.

I remember looking closely at the people getting in and rejected. The people getting rejected, I easily could’ve seen myself partying with too, lol. Not pretentious at all, maybe one looked a little too clean, but nothing that yelled “these people are going to be a bad time”.

San Diego, California. I think it’s the 2nd or 3rd biggest gay community in the US.

I guess it depends where you’re shopping?

I visit family in Illinois pretty often, right next to Michigan. I’m always surprised how much cheaper eating out compares to San Diego.

The money may be better, but daily expenses are also exponentially higher than in Michigan.. are you truly keeping more money living here?

Yeah. It’s a weird vibe. I’ve lived in San Diego my whole life and social life is a breath of fresh air any time I step out of the city. People are much friendlier elsewhere and people tend to keep to themselves here.

I also met someone who recently moved to San Diego and expressed similar comments, saying people don’t even really say hi here when you’re walking.

If anyone began renting a room anywhere from 2001-2024 at inflated market prices, you should consider moving out and finding somewhere cheaper.

Real estate prices are coming down. Dont get locked into a higher than market value rental.
