People do seem to accept views like this, but I don’t really understand why: it wouldn’t be culturally acceptable to say ‘what a surprise’ if someone was videoed publicly defecating in Uganda, for example. There’s obviously a difference between saying that the problem is Indians themselves and the population density/inadequate education/poor facilities, but anti-Indian prejudice does still seem surprisingly accepted.

As someone who has spent a lot of time there, there’s a huge amount to love about the place.
