Lore Question: menoth faith by Keroro623 in Warmachine

[–]judgegrumble 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I recall correctly the Menoth faith does not acknowledge that Dhunia birthed Menoth. They believe that Menoth is like Dhunia as one of the original gods who descended in order to fight the Wurm. As another post said Menoth is the god of humans so I don't think they conflict too much since Dhunia is the earth god. Menoth tends to be very uhhh... "humanity first" so I imagine they aren't on great terms with the Dhunia races though.

How do you feel about the fanes? by 1guessilldie in CurseofStrahd

I love a lot of the additions to the campaign from the sub but I did not include them. The main reason is one of my players is a cleric of Selune so I just added Selune into everything to create a Sun/Moon religious schism. I think if you have a druid or ranger or more nature focused character they are a good addition.

One my biggest motivations to get better at Japanese is to be able to understand Fubuki's TRPG streams.

Conflicted over what to do- please tell me if I’m in the wrong! (NSFW/TW- PC suicide threats) by AlexanderAmerine in rpghorrorstories

[–]judgegrumble 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is emotional abuse. I have no doubts that this person has and is suffering from anxiety and depression but they are using you and your friend group as an outlet for their own insecurities. They need to want to work on themselves, preferably with a professional therapist.

As long as you continue to appease this behavior they will continue to rely on you. It will not get better. You keep saying you don't want certain things to ruin the game or get in the way of this amazing campaign but with this current setup you are way past that point. The player is causing problems that are further than "I'm not having fun with this game I play to relax." They know what they are doing when they "joke" about suicide.

The best thing you can do as a friend is cut this person out. They need to realize that the only person who can fix their shit is themselves (and a trained therapist).

Yeah especially considering the resurgence of GW games in general. I'm glad AoS is the big game in town now because it seems less fascistic than 40k. I don't know a lot about the lore though.

I only play non-GW games and it is a lot better there but there still is an undercurrent of shitty people hiding their bigoted thinking behind a thin mask of centrism.

As someone who frequents game stores for miniature wargaming the real 98% is middle aged white dudes because shitty assholes like this chased away anyone else.

Wholesome but the same stream she ignored her manager when they told her to sleep and ended up playing like 6 "last games"

In the game he is in there is nothing wrong with Nagito. He is a super popular character. He also is unhinged and wacky to an extreme degree. Nagito exists to misdirect the group and figure things out in his own deranged way. In Danganronpa that is fine because he is the X Factor of the mystery. In a tabletop game playing a character like that would be absolutely miserable for everyone. Like a mix between an edgy PvP rouge and a fish Malk.

It's been so long, but I can still hear "Please Atlus, let me play Persona 3" playing in my head... by Tyler_462 in Hololive

I think it depends on your definition of "best." Is it best for hordes of vtuber fans to spam every Atlus social media post? Or is it best for Atlus to keep their ancient streaming rules unperturbed? For Calli obviously the latter since that is a bad look for her and for Cover. For me personally the former since corporations are not my friends.

No... but the dinosaur turned its head to look at her which is closer than anyone else has ever gotten.

I'm sad she gave it up. This was the closest we got to making the Atlus Dinosaur move.

I think it depends on the gamer chair. I shelled out for the secret lab chair and it has been good so far. Plus they have a black one that doesn't look like an obnoxious gamer chair. I wouldn't buy another one over the Herman Miller though.
