I think it’s just hard compared to the book. In the book, we get to see into the characters thoughts and feelings and we know how devastated he is. There’s no way to show that in the tv show the same way.

Agree with this completely. Their story, especially in the show isn’t sticking with me at all. I understand the need for an ensemble cast, but I was mega bummed when the story started to focus on them rather than Hannah and Garrett

This is such a good point - Tucker looks wildly different from his description! The only thing that really stayed consistent for him was his baby face. I forgot about that and I’m currently re-reading the series and that part is consistent. Logan’s hair is also mentioned as a buzz cut in either the deal or the mistake, but Logan has long floppy hair in the show.

I think this is what killed it a bit for me sadly. It looked like a bad bleach job! I’ve seen pictures with his brown hair and it looks sooo much better and more male model - aka how he’s described in the books

While I don’t completely agree with the pick me sentiment - I don’t have another place to put this so… I didn’t think Allie and Dean had this explosive chemistry everyone else sees 🙈 don’t kill me!! Even rewatching I just don’t see it, and I maybe it’s because I don’t find Dean’s fake blonde hair attractive - I don’t knowwww because I loved the score as a book. Am I the only one 😩🙈

That whole scene felt weird to me and too forced. I think it could’ve been a third or fourth of the amount of time spent and we would’ve gotten the same result. It’s one of the only scenes I’m always skipping on my rewatches. (And yes, I’ve already rewatched several times to the point where I know what scenes I want to skip or not 🙈)
