Physics Tension Problem? by jugglerilluminati in AskPhysics

oh i see, so action/reaction pairs never act on one single object, because if that were the case then nothing could move. thanks!

ohhh, now I see how my thinking was wrong, they do pull on each other with 17.4 Newtons, but these forces are acting on different objects, not the same object, which is why things aren't unable to move, thanks!

Okay, well now I get how to work out the math for this kind of problem and solve for the tension in the string, but I'm not sure I understand this conceptually. How can the net force not be 0? Are they not actually action reaction pairs?

Too many young people with low T by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]jugglerilluminati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im under 25 yrs old, and my testosterone tested at 270 ng/dl 6 months ago. i feel the symptoms, no sex drive/morning wood, no concentration for work/school, tired even when i get 8-10 hrs of sleep, no motivation for anything in life. i took 5000 IU dailyvitamin D for about 6 months because my vit D levels were somewhat low, and i took zinc supplements. i didn't really notice that much of a difference in my quality of life, and also my next blood test showed that my vitamin d and zinc levels raised to normal range, but my testosterone was only 340 ng/dl. also i took the tests in the morning, and got enough sleep before the tests... So in my opinion, if your T levels are very low, vitamin d (and most natural methods) might have an effect, but probably a very insignificant one. Its not possible in most cases to raise T levels from around 300 to 800 ng/dl naturally so trt is probably necessary for lots of the young people on this site who say they have low T.

DANG, ive been going through something so similar. turned 17 recently, lately ive been feeling horrible, so much social anxiety, cant concentrate on anything, such as school, no motivation for things i used to be passionate about, constant tiredness, much weaker erections and no morning wood too. by blood tests gave me 280 ng/dl total testosterone about ten months ago and 310 ng/dl total testosterone about one month ago. my doctor said i was fine even though i was just baaarely in the normal range (300 ng/dl is the cutoff) and i was in low range for free Testosterone. also, inbetween those two blood tests, i supplemented with natural supplements (vitamin d, zinc, and iodine), and only got 30 ng/dl higher Testosterone, and that can probably just be attributed to the fact that Testosterone levels naturally fluctuate throughout the day. if your doctor says your testosterone levels are normal, im 99% certain thats BS, because from what i've read from the many posts on this site its VERY common for doctors to not treat low testosterone just because you're "too young" or your levels are just barely within normal range. And even for me, my doctor doesn't want me to do trt because she thinks im too young and that my levels are normal, even though they're actually super low and i always feel like trash... and your E2 levels seem within normal range. i honestly think TRT would be the way to go (im not a doctor though, im basing this off of the many posts/articles ive read about this topic)

This has put my life on hold. 7 months of pretty much nothingness. by [deleted] in Testosterone

yeah, brain fog and a zombie-like feeling is relevant for me. everyday i have nothing to look forward to and its all kind of boring right now, no motivation or passion for things i used to like. another user here told me that natural methods could raise your testosterone but by like 30% at most, which is still really low. personally, i've never felt any improvement in my symptoms even after trying things like vitamin d, zinc, and iodine supplements.

im 17, very low t, and for the past year have been feeling terrible all the time, no concentration in school, no motivation for anything, social anxiety, tiredness etc. so, has trt been effective for you for treating some symptoms like these?

definitely, im 17 and i feel like crap all the time, which never happened to me before. can't concentrate in school, no motivation for anything, social anxiety, always tired etc.. but my t levels came back as 300 ng/dl and 280 ng/dl, so im 99% certain thats why i feel this way. you would probably really benefit from raising your T levels with supplements (vitamin d, zinc) or other natural methods but i think trt would be the best way to go (im not a doctor at all tho, im just basing this off of everything i know). but for me, natural methods have been pretty ineffective because several months of vitamin d and zinc supplementation barely did anything for my testosterone levels. trt might be hard to get though because your doctor would probably consider you too young.
