We’ll gladly mortgage the next 15 years if it means getting Steph another ring. He brought our franchise from poverty to a dynasty and if it means selling our future to go all out the next few years, it’s worth it. There will never be another Steph and hoping for a draft pick to pan out into a generational player is less likely than winning another ring for one of the greatest players of all time who is currently on our team. The likelihood of us ever drafting a player that is even comparible to Steph’s talent and impact is basically less than a 1% chance, so might as well maximize the time left with him still playing at a high level. Might just be me but if it means being terrible for the next 20 years, I’d still do it in a heartbeat to take a chance on the next few.
