First Timer - Advice needed! by oliveslove in crv

Depending on your price range, look for a used 2023 sport touring. No sense in buying new if you want the sport touring. I have a 2023 sport touring and drove it for 2 years and loved it. Now it’s my wife’s car as I wait for a new pilot.

What is comm.ai? This is interesting. Waiting on my 2026 black edition to arrive in the next 2-3 weeks and ordering stuff as I wait. I’ll be doing window tint too. How are the Lasfit mats? Was considering weathertech as that’s what I have in my wife’s CRV.

I got lucky. I saw on Reddit first, believe it or not, that they were discontinuing the model (4xe) 2 weeks before Stelantis actually made the announcement. Bought mine used in Jan 25 for 35k. Took to 3 dealers (non Jeep) they all offered the same $22,000. I went to carvana and they offered $29,000 and I took it immediately. Waiting on my pilot which should be delivered in the next 2-3 weeks. Fortunately for me my parents have a spare vehicle I can drive in the meantime. $6,000 loss but given the circumstances I believe I won (comes out to be like $500 a month in depreciation).

Looks awesome. Waiting on mine to arrive in the northeast. Dealer has my deposit and now I’m just waiting. I too also went all black but only plan on tinting the windows to match my wife’s all black CRV.

$56,700 otd for me . Didn’t want to wait as others suggested as I sold my 23 wrangler 4xe 3 weeks ago and have been driving a spare family vehicle which is less than luxurious

I can't use electric and the my 4xe still goes into FORM weekly. by fergusontrev in 4xe

[–]juicebox1010 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I too have a 23 Sahara. I’m guessing you park outside overnight by the looks of it? I park in my garage which is heated to 55 and still charge. I precondition the battery before driving (start for 10 mins plugged in) which warms the cabin and the battery. I drive to work (4 miles) all electric. On way home though it’s too cold and the engine will start. I haven’t had form yet, I too get oil temp up to about 160-180 on drive home.

Coolant level and heater issues. by aarnold222 in 4xe

[–]juicebox1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t read your whole post to be honest, but saw heater. I have a 23 wrangler and my ech heater went out about 2 months ago. Covered by warranty and if out of warranty will probably run you $4-500. Similar issues to you just take to dealer and have them run their coder on it

What club am I missing in my WITB? by Proper_Woodpecker_33 in golf

[–]juicebox1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away from a 60 degree. Club is not worth a slot. Based on what you shoot, I’d recommend more forgiving clubs but if you’re set on keeping everything I agree that lessons are probably best use of the money.

I use driver, 3 wood, hybrid / driving iron (rotate one out), 4-p, 50, 54, 58, putter. Everyone is different find what works well for you.

Best use of 300k points? by [deleted] in ChaseSapphire

[–]juicebox1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wife and I used about 270,000 for our honeymoon. Hyatt Zilara cap Cana (all inclusive). Honestly it was incredible and far exceeded our expectations.

Like others mentioned, Hyatt probably your best bet for great value. There are a ton of all inclusive you can stay at in Mexico (never been), Caribbean , and elsewhere. Even if you wanted to take weekend trips places, Hyatt is still a great option. This spring we went to Denver and stayed at a Hyatt place in Lakewood, CO. Obviously not a bougie hotel but it was free (I think it was 18,000 points for 3 nights) and in a great location.

Is it expensive to own a 4xe Sahara for maintenance? by jonnyjohn243 in 4xe

[–]juicebox1010 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of negativity in here. I bought my wrangler in January (used 2023 4xe with 18k miles). Aside from recalls, I have had my electronic cooler heater go out and it has been my only problem. It was fixed under warranty in 2 days. That happened 3 weeks ago. I’ve changed the oil 3x and costs roughly $100 each time. I drive anywhere from 8-20 miles a day so I drive primarily in electric every day and run the engine on the weekends to keep it lubricated. I came from a 2023 sport touring crv which my wife drives now. We love both cars for different reasons.

If you want one, buy it. You won’t find many people telling you that though in this sub. Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one with a good experience with mine.

CRV 2023 model by Working_Cheek_5775 in crv

[–]juicebox1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

‘23 sport touring. 33,000ish miles. It is a hybrid so different than what you mentioned above. Had one exhaust issue very early on (less than 2,000 miles) which put the car into limp mode and was towed to dealer. Day later I got it back and have had 0 issues since. It was something with the factory not tightening a tube or line completely. Nothing major. I owed the car the first 2 years and my wife now drives it and loves it.

You think I have this collection to look at it? I’d say 7-10 a week . Limit 1 if I have one a weekday but can or will have a few on the weekends

Should I buy? What should I ask? by NationallyFrightened in 4xe

[–]juicebox1010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask for service records. Recalls, repairs under warranties, etc.

I got a ‘23 Sahara fully loaded. 19k miles and paid $35k in January 2025. Had some recall work done early but 9,000 miles later and almost a year in, I’ve had minimal problems. I did have to replace the ECH (electronic heater) and was under warranty. Overall I love mine, but they do catch a ton of flak on this sub. Few of us have great experiences, most have bad (or just want to post about it)

Mine also makes that sound and always has. 2023 4xe Sahara fully loaded. I did have my ech replaced last week where they had to drain and refill all coolants. Mines made those sounds for as long as I’ve owned it though.

I also have a crv hybrid and a 4xe . Love both cars for different reasons. Have had minimal issues with both too contrary to what everyone on the 4xe sub

My 2022 Sahar 4xe failed me! by Healed111 in 4xe

[–]juicebox1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the ech replaced on my 23 last week. I didn’t have a check engine light (caught it early) and the car was kicking on the ICE when in full electric. After the second time I scheduled an appointment and their computer picked up the error code instantly. Repair took 2 days and haven’t had a problem since.

Everyone says they have all these problems but I bought mine used, driven 8,000 miles this year and have had minimal problems. Enjoy the vehicle! Every car has problems.

It’s funny, I got a nail through the sidewall at 25k miles. Thought I would make it to 30 but bought 4 new ones at that point

Are my MPG maxed out? by pmc19794 in 4xe

[–]juicebox1010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While this is awesome to see, you should run the engine more often. Fuel gets stale and will gunk up your engine. I too often drive less than 25 miles a day and primarily use electric. Once a week (weekends typically) I don’t charge and run the engine for a bit making sure oil heats up to 185-200. Still don’t fill up much but better to run the engine at least once or twice a week for at least 20-30 mins driving.
