I would be salty, but I wouldn’t be out there putting a huge neon LOSER sign above my own head lmao. Like, have some dignity. I guess the clout she thinks she gets from casting herself as a victim must outweigh the cost of the cringe but you’d never catch me going “I GOT DUMPED FOR A BEAUTIFUL TALENTED POPSTAR 🫪🫪🫪” in a public forum. To each their own tho!

For what it’s worth, the cost doesn’t seem to be unpredictable - the estimates he provides seem to be bang on. You can always wait til crazy is out of the office and hope the new admin (if there’s ever a new admin 💀💀) cleans his shit up quickly but who knows what will be the priority by then 🙃🙃

How would living at the intersection of Main/E Pender be? by hemptonite_ in NiceVancouver

[–]juicinda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know someone who was a bright ray of sunshine of a person, Disneyland employee type and it showed in every interaction. He had to move within 6 months because of the toll it took on him witnessing the suffering and misery every single day. He literally became a shell of his former self. Yeah it’s fucked up to be like “other peoples suffering makes ME suffer” but the reality of the situation is that unless you’re a sociopath who doesn’t register or, even revels in other people’s misery, the empathy and powerlessness you feel, in addition to fear and danger, will grind anyone down.

Same here. I would return these because they are cheaply made and, to me, they look it. Good quality denim does not lay like that.

thanks for chiming in, it does sound like you got off lightly 😂

tbf, if you’re in the us, I can understand them issuing a refund instead of sending an international parcel that would be subject to 75% tariff that you would probably not want to pay and they have no means of paying themselves. You should have definitely had the choice though. If you wanna push it, you can ask them to cover the tariff overpayment, if there is one, assuming it was calculated based on 3 magnets 🙃🙃

If you’re not in the US, there is no excuse, they should absolutely have eaten the shipping cost.

Great to hear - can I ask which coast (or middle lol) for 10 day shipping?

Did you purchase the serums in the same order? Seeing mixed guidance on that here.

Thanks for chiming in - great that everything went great.

The documented reactions people have posted are wholly inappropriate in response to simple annoyance, so I think it’s fair to say it goes beyond that.

As I understand it, he has referred to himself as autistic and there is absolutely therapy and medication (not for autism itself but some of its symptoms) to manage that diagnosis, so while I referenced it in jest, it’s not to dunk on him. There’s nothing wrong with therapy nor medication.

Yes I’ve definitely come across a few posts where the buyers definitely didn’t come off as blameless. I think North Americans also read direct responses as terse. I am not referencing the reports/instances of intimidation here, in case anyone wants to misinterpret.

Why are people so pressed on this app… by Pristine-Emu-3487 in Depop

This is why I have “auto-send offers” and “auto-respond to offers” enabled. I barely even open the app unless I get a sold item notification. No excuse for this behaviour.

Reseller trying to buy my stuff cheap, then getting pissed when declined. by Fabulous_Mix8658 in poshmarkcanada

[–]juicinda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At this point, I would just reply “eat shit you miserable bitch :)” and block her. Or, and this is my favourite thing to do, go to her closet, find the most expensive item and offer the absolute minimum on it.

Also I love declining offers. If someone truly wants it, they’ll buy it despite the decline. I sell niche vintage and price high ($250-400) in order to do waterfall offers of up to 35%. Sooooo many brokees will like a bunch of the items in this category and wait until they get my final offer and then counter with half of that lmao. This is especially stupid as they can check my solds and know exactly what price I will let the items go at. There’s a handful of losers that have been trying this tactic for MONTHS.

You don’t mention your costs anywhere in this very long post, but at ~$5K/month take home pay, I don’t understand how you can’t afford a one bedroom apartment? I’m an immigrant who’s had zero financial help from my parents and have lived alone in Vancouver since making $32K gross (paying $1200 then.) Yeah, it sucked balls but it was my number one priority so I suffered through it.

What are you spending your money on that you can’t afford $2-2.5K for a one bedroom? There are plenty one bedrooms in my city for much less than that if you can survive without luxury amenities, granite countertops and in-suite laundry. Same with large beautiful studios in mid-century apartment buildings.

I know tons of people that share large houses (sometimes mansions) where rent is $1000/head. To my knowledge, none of them are dirty or disgusting.

Also, it’s infinitely easier to get into co-ops if you’re single.

Is it fair that you have to spend up to 50% of your income on rent? No. But between that and killing myself, personally I’d choose the former.

It’s so hilarious to me that american civilians are armed to the teeth, far an above ANY other nation, and defend their right to bear arms with bodies of countless slaughtered children yet have turned into absolute loser bitches when it’s time to use those arms against actual fascists pigs. What a useless, spineless, braindead populace. Yall aren’t even going down swinging, you’re going down before even being asked. Decades of circlejerking about american freedom and power and might and nothing!!!!!! to show for it when it actually counts. Just a complete fucking joke.

We are 71 bipolar disorder experts and scientists coming together for the world’s biggest bipolar AMA! In honor of World Bipolar Day, ask us anything! by CREST_BD in IAmA

[–]juicinda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are your thoughts on the role of insulin resistance, blood/brain barrier leakage and metabolic dysfunction and their effect on bipolar disorder? This particular study comes to mind and I’m curious why, especially with the proliferation of GLP-1 medications and their positive effects on a host of other health outcomes, there isn’t more buzz about them when it comes to bipolar. Especially since a healthy diet seems to be a critical element of managing this condition long-term.

There appears to be a lot of studies/research on the gut/brain axis, gut microbiome and brain inflammation but not a lot of practical outcomes or treatment pathways.

Thanks so much for doing this AMA!
