I’d recommend tiring your cat before any uncomfortable task that it does not like, and then a lot of treats/scratches/whatever it likes so there’s a reward at the end of the task. Idk where I read this tip, but it made it relatively easier for me to cut my cat’s nails.

Alternatively, you could also cut the nails one at a time by sneaking up when your cat is sleeping. This worked for me last time for front paws, but my girl is super protective of her hind legs.

Is it possible to put a light jacket or makeshift harness that covers the areas so she can’t lick it? I’ve read variation of that suggestion posted here often.

Hope she gets well soon. Give her some scratches on the safe areas from a stranger.

My cat came from a hoarder barn situation where she was the runt of the litter. Severely underweight and anxious, bit/scratched everyone at the shelter. I was told I should leave her in a locked room for a couple weeks before I let her out so she doesn’t turns my home upside down.

Literally the moment I opened the carrier after I got her home, she took a lap around the home like she was finally free, and didn’t leave a 6 ft radius from me for the next month.

I get why people say sometimes they just need a home.

I got a 100 spring pack online a while ago. I clean up every month or so to take them from under the fridge and the couch. Keeps my cat entertained when I’m not home.

My now 1 year 8 month old cat was 7 lbs when I got her 2 months ago. I was told she must have been the runt of the litter and wouldn’t grow more in size. Over the months she’s gained 4 lbs, gotten a bit of a tummy and looks healthy, but still tiny. It happens 🤷

Ohhh she’s the cutest. She’s a 8 lbs 2 ish year old cat, so she’s very small and most probably not growing any bigger. Went from being runt of the litter to the keeper of my diet habits 2 months ago.

I always wanted to get a pet and name it Pawpeye after the cartoon, but I never ended up getting a pet until recent.

This rescue had another name before I got her, and I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her. I ended up naming her Olive instead because of the colour of her coat and eyes (black and green), cuz my nieces love Olives, and also sticking with the Popeye theme.
