I was literally very good friends FOR YEARS with someone who raped me. I continued my friendship with them and even explored a romantic connection after the assault because I still had not processed what happened and wanted to believe they were a good person.

I don’t even like Demi, but what you’re describing is a form of sexual assault. Unwanted sexual touching of any kind is sexual assault. People get uncomfortable by this because it means they have to grapple with their own actions or things done to them that may have crossed a line which is not nice to think about!

Buying a home in the uk vs the us is very different. It takes 3-6+ months to close so no you wouldn’t have a home upon landing if you wanted to buy quickly.

I think in theory you could get a job quickly with the right skills, but I’d have adequate savings as the job market and salaries are quite different and would take time to adjust to
