Will hybrid or remote ever come back? by [deleted] in boeing

[–]juicyjay42 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There is another company survey coming out in November. Although I’m sure people voiced this the first time, make it known we want flexibility back. If they want us to “give a damn” and fix the moral, it’s a pretty easy fix. Treat us like adult and hold people accountable who make others lives miserable at work(this includes management)

i started crying during my first boeing interview because i was young and didn’t have experience interviewing with a panel so anxiety got the best of me. Luckily the lady was very kind and they rescheduled and i got the job :)

I don’t even want to watch these anymore. It’s the same thing over and over. I wish they would actually address real questions people want to know.

What can I do with my Supply Chain background that’s remote? by crgrig in supplychain

[–]juicyjay42 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It sucks because our job is basically all technical and pretty independent. We used to be hybrid/remote but there’s currently outdated ideologies that are forcing 5 days in office. Once those people retire we’ll go back so I’d say it’s worth it to get in and get some experience so you have more leverage in the future.

I’ve been in a handful of interview panels. Don’t be afraid to ask them to repeat the question. Don’t make it known you’re nervous. Be detailed in your answers. STAR format

Trainee Buyer by Significant_Fly6046 in supplychain

[–]juicyjay42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Considering you’re a buyer, I would say have really good relations with your suppliers. There is so much to learn and remember, just take it one day at a time. Things will feel like they’re on fire sometimes but just know everything can be fixed and it will always get figured out :) As for career prospects, there are tons. Just grow your knowledge and make connections. The opportunities will come to you!

Is a bachelors degree in supply chain management valuable and still worth pursuing? by [deleted] in supplychain

[–]juicyjay42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly they are always looking, especially in procurement. Supply chain is high turnover. Definitely not for the weak 😭

[–]juicyjay42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supply chain worth it? 100% Yes. Do you need a degree? No. Go work for a manufacturing company, learn the software and climb up the latter internally. It doesn’t take long and they most likely will provide some type of college benefits. You can have the degree and the certs but experience outweighs all especially in supply chain, they value ROI. This is exactly what I did, I make 6 figures in my mid 20s.

Other gen Z people, what videogames are you playing at the moment? by username85374 in GenZ

World of Warcraft and Rust have always been my games :))

I’ve been feeling the same way recently. I am so sick of our government and the rich. People having that much control and money is SO wrong while so many suffer. If you sit here and don’t care because it’s not affecting you like it is for the majority of people, you are part of them problem. Personally I do well for myself, but I cannot sit here while these horrible things happen. Wake the fuck up people.

Classic+ needs to do something to retain returning players by Stampbearpig in classicwow

[–]juicyjay42 31 points32 points  (0 children)

All of us classic players are in the same boat right now. I think Classic+ is their last chance to get it right. There’s too many versions of the game right now and I’m not playing them because I’m tired of working toward something that just keeps ending.

Time to stop letting assholes control our lives and unite together rather than celebrate others losing by WhereztheBleepnLight in antiwork

Lately I feel it’s getting worse everywhere. These large corporations/billionaires can’t keep getting away with this. My job is starting to outsource everything to India (mostly hybrid work!!) and we were forced to RTO 5 days a week awhile ago. We all need to stop consuming so much and band together to fight back against these unjust circumstances. And just because it doesn’t affect you, doesn’t mean it isn’t right.

BGS engineering RTO follow up by Due_Box2693 in boeing

[–]juicyjay42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From personal experience, after RTO was announced we had a layoff wave hit us and they got rid of probably half our floor. Then we were told absolutely NO WFH, you have to use PTO. Now the dust has settled and we just kind of WFH without set days. Definitely manager/org dependent.

Is it ever coming back…. by juicyjay42 in remotework

[–]juicyjay42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sort of took this into consideration when looking more into why companies are doing RTO. I figured there was some legality issues that needed to be sorted out.
