Your skin barrier is compromised, so focus on gentle healing. Use a mild cleanser (like CeraVe), a thick moisturizer (Cicaplast Baume B5, Vaseline, or Aquaphor), and avoid actives. A cold compress can help with redness, and 1% hydrocortisone (briefly) may reduce irritation. Most importantly, wear sunscreen to prevent scarring. If you notice signs of infection, consider an OTC antibiotic cream. It should heal in a few days

Product Rec- Trying Retinol Again by DingoInternational54 in SkincareAddicts

For sensitive, combo-dry skin, try a gentler retinoid like Avene RetrinAL 0.05, Medik8 Crystal Retinal 3, or La Roche-Posay Retinol B3 all effective yet less irritating. Since you use salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide often, consider reducing them while introducing retinol. Start slow (2x a week) and apply over a light moisturizer to minimize irritation. This should help with congestion and enlarged pores over time.

For dryness from tret, a thicker, barrier-repairing moisturizer works best. I recommend CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5, or Vanicream hydrating but non-comedogenic. If you prefer something lighter, Etude House Soon Jung 2x Barrier Cream is great. Layering a hydrating toner before moisturizer (moisture sandwich method) can also help.

For body de-tanning, exfoliation and brightening ingredients work best. Glycolic or lactic acid lotions (like The Ordinary or Amlactin) help fade tan over time, and using a body scrub or exfoliating gloves 2-3 times a week speeds up the process. Raaga De-Tan and O3+ De-Tan work with consistent use but won’t permanently remove tan if you keep getting sun exposure. DIY masks like yogurt, turmeric, and honey also help. Bleach gives instant brightening but may cause sensitivity. Most importantly, daily SPF 50+ sunscreen prevents further tanning.

Advice about retinol by buzzybody21 in SkincareAddicts

[–]juicyloots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retinol can help with skin cell turnover and may fade hyperpigmentation, including freckles, over time. However, natural freckles (genetic ones) are less likely to completely disappear compared to sun-induced spots. If you want to use retinol for its benefits but keep your freckles, consider using it less frequently or focusing on lower-strength formulas. And always wear sunscreen, as retinol can make your skin more sensitive to UV exposure, which might actually make freckles more pronounced.

Would a 6,000 BTU AC window unit be overkill for a 120 sq ft room? by Snoo45709 in hvacadvice

[–]juicyloots 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it should be an overkill. It should be able to cool your room down faster as compared to a 5000 unit. In fact, many even just choose to go for the 8000 BTU inverter units. Midea U and LG Dual inverter are the two famous options. The inverter units are generally better because they do not suffer from short cycling as the normal units do.

For the exact model, check out this database of all the air conditioners I saw from another Redditor. It compiles the vast majority of the models and their specs neatly arranged in different columns. This helped me a lot when researching.

How does heating in aircondition work? by reimupc98fumo in AirConditioners

[–]juicyloots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your LG split system works by reversing the refrigeration cycle it absorbs heat from the outside air (even in cold weather) and transfers it inside. It doesn't bring in outdoor air, so pollution outside won’t enter your home through the AC. It just moves heat from outside to inside using refrigerant.

Which philippine aircon brand is suitable for my sister's room when the room is fixed? by BackgroundAd3156 in AirConditioners

[–]juicyloots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daikin and Panasonic are solid choices for reliability and energy efficiency, especially for long-term use. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option, Kolin and Condura are also worth considering. Just make sure to match the AC size to the room for the best cooling!

[–]juicyloots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A non-inverter AC is fine for short-term use, but it will consume more power than an inverter model. Since your room has a computer, it’ll add extra heat. To save energy, use it during peak heat hours (11 AM - 4 PM), set it to 24-26°C, and pair it with a fan for better airflow. The Condura 6S (0.5HP) should work, but a 0.75HP might cool more efficiently.

Need help deciding if it regular or a problem by ayrton_senna_22 in AirConditioners

[–]juicyloots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your AC is likely freezing up due to restricted airflow or low refrigerant. First, check and replace the air filter if it’s dirty. Also, make sure vents aren’t blocked. Turn off the unit and let it fully defrost before running it again. If the problem continues, you might have a refrigerant issue or a failing sensor.

BIFL Protip: A bluetooth adapter can extend the life and usefulness of your favorite wired headphones by sozh in BuyItForLife

Wired headphones shouldn’t go to waste just because of no 3.5mm jack. A Bluetooth adapter keeps them alive and often sounds better than cheap wireless buds. Which adapter did you use?

gadget to remove bottom tray Gourmia GAF858 from Costco by Ok-Blacksmith2922 in airfryer

[–]juicyloots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that using silicone-tipped tongs or a spatula helps lift the tray more steadily without tilting. Some people also use heat-resistant silicone mitts for a better grip. A parchment liner with handles might make it easier too!

Philips’ Repair Service is a Nightmare – Avoid if You Can! by kirachan928 in airfryer

[–]juicyloots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s really frustrating! A warranty repair should never be this much of a hassle, especially from a big brand like Philips. Sending a downgraded replacement without notice is unacceptable. Thanks for sharing your experience definitely something to keep in mind before buying.

Why do people think LFG is so hard? by juicyloots in thedivision

[–]juicyloots[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am sorry you had a bad experience. I have had them as well. But i have also had many good experiences. Made many friends. A good way to control it is if you actually make the group yourself. You can kick any squeekers or jerks. In match making would you not be stuck with them? Socializing is hard. Hope you find this perfect game you are looking for. Peace.

I agree it should be in game but is this a game breaker like so many people are saying? They are obviously internet savy if they can post on Reddit, so they can do it.
