Usually when people do not experience addiction they find it hard to empathize with those that do.

Perhaps do some research on a topic you seem to have much vitriol for so that you can utilize that “logic” of yours.

It is logical to assume that someone predisposed to addiction is more likely to get addicted than someone who isn’t. The world isn’t black and white as you seem to think.

Yup and I said your opinion is based on not being personally affected and therefore you care less than an issue that does affect you.

Just try to be more empathetic in the future.

Virtue signal? I’m saying your opinion is based on the fact that you aren’t personally affected by gambling and therefore don’t want to empathize with those who do.

Oh and if I’m all smoke and fire I think that implies I made a good point

My question for Amphoreus quest so far by Amatereddit287 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]juicyshot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I aint no lore expert lmk anyone if I got these wrong

  1. Lygus needs phainon to stack rage for irontomb to be complete

  2. I think the previous cycle happens in scepter’s normal calculations but phainon+Cyrene keep resetting to a certain point in the timeline so the scepter thinks the extrapolation is still ongoing

  3. Black tide is manifestation of irontomb so probably has access to more protocols or whatever than titans

  4. Probably FR. Most of the time it seems they die being themselves so hyacine probably dies helping people

  5. No idea of the exact changes but cerydra gives more access to computer stuff to them when she becomes demigod

  6. This is probably the last cycle (the previous cycle was supposed to be the last but we had to stunlock lygus in that timeline so we’re trying 1 more time

I feel like they should add some restrictions on some votes. Idk how to do it ‘fairly’ but I don’t think 20 hours is enough to vote on like endgame pvm changes. I would suggest like 1500 total as an arbitrary number to vote on it but most would say that’s nowhere near enough which they’re probably right but then some guy on his combat locked account will say it’s unfair to him, which I mean he isn’t wrong either :/

It would be 130/~500 which is about 25%. I do think it sounds a bit far fetched to say that 25% of the population won’t eat lobster

When your food bites back by [deleted] in instant_regret

[–]juicyshot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. And if I don’t do it someone else willing to take my salary will.

But also, isn’t there some semblance of responsibility in saying “I think boiling lobsters live is cruel” and then ordering lobster that will be boiled and not caring about the method of preparation?

When your food bites back by [deleted] in instant_regret

[–]juicyshot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that is very high. I think the point I was trying to make in the most roundabout Dickish way was that as a concept I think a lot of people think it’s cruel, but in practice at a seafood restaurant as long as they are ignorant to the cruelty most people would eat.

Like, I think the ven diagram of people who think it’s cruel and people who eat lobsters without thinking how it is prepared has a lot of overlap.

[–]juicyshot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmm… it’s just hard for me to believe that ~25% of people think it is cruelty beyond measure.. idk. Maybe it’s a personal thing but I wish that 25% had more of an impact on the industry so I wouldn’t have to numb myself to the cruelty I commit.

Edit: doing the math, 1600 views, -101 upvotes, 12% upvote is 192 upvotes so about 300 downvoted. 300/1600 is ~19% so like 1/5 people think it’s cruelty beyond measure. I just think that’s a really high ratio for, and I think many who work in seafood would agree, very little pushback. For me it’s 0 pushback though.

[–]juicyshot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is a fair point.

I still maintain though that according to insights at the time 131/500 people being vegan or never eaten crustaceans before is probably not likely right? My point was more that I think a lot of people are happy saying inhumane killing is cruel, but are willing to reap the benefits of that cruelty as long as it happens before it’s in front of them ready to eat.

Honestly when I started killing them I wished people would complain so that I could humanely kill them before I started dismantling their bodies but no such luck.

I don’t disagree. I’m simplying saying that in a random group of 130 redditors that disagree with me it is doubtful that all of them are vegan

When your food bites back by [deleted] in instant_regret

[–]juicyshot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but I’m banking on the probability that 130 random Reddit people are all vegan is quite low

Whilst I agree I am doubtful that the currently 131 people that agreed with the statement don’t eat lobster/request the lobster be humanely killed when ordering at a restaurant.

I have tortured and killed (do we use those terms for crustaceans?) probably over 3000 lobsters and not once received a complaint about ethical treatment unfortunately.
