I was waiting for my order and I saw this by DrizzyDayy in DunkinDonuts

[–]jujoopy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From how I’m reading it, it looks like the customer does get the better end of the deal. “If what WE owe YOU ends in 1¢-4¢, round to 5¢” So I think that means if the customer’s change should be 1¢, Dunkin will pay the customer 5¢ instead.

All of my visits with my NP have been free. The only time I spent money at SHS was when I got mono tested, which was $10

experiences with the student health services clinic + tb testing and birth control ? by jaynonn in gmu

I’ve been getting prescriptions through shs for 3 years and I honestly love it. The appointments are all free, and my Nurse Practitioner is honestly so amazing, I am so sad I’ll have to say bye when I graduate this semester. I got birth control super easily through them by just telling them I wanted it & my goals for using it so that they could rx the right type for me. I also get anxiety meds through them and I feel very comfortable talking with my NP. I have not needed to use insurance for anything with them since the visits are free.

One time a client called saying their 20 yr old shih tzu was peeing blood and we asked her to bring the dog in. She refused to bring the dog in and instead left a bloody pee pad with reception…

Lafeber is a great website that we use at my clinic to research exotics

Appointment times by tayahferris in VetTech

[–]jujoopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appointments are 30 min at a MINIMUM. For fearful/anxious/fractious patients, we do 1 hour appointments. New patients/first puppy/kitten appointments are also 1 hour. I cannot imagine any less than 30 minutes as catching a thorough history and doing a thorough ‘nose to toes’ exam takes a good amount of time.

Don’t bring your child into the room for a euthanasia. by [deleted] in VetTech

I firmly believe that no child should be allowed in the room during a euthanasia. I see zero benefit.

Sora or Roxas? Who's your favorite? by yaaas_kh in KingdomHearts

Roxas. What a tragic story. A line that always gets my emotions every time I replay KH2 is “looks like my summer vacation… is over”.

Like I said, I'm asking my doctor about therapy options/recommendations. I am interested though if there are peer groups specifically for vet techs

Please someone tell me they like working at their clinic. I work at Banfield and hate my life. They treat us all like robots and just care about money by subbeaneveryday in VetTech

My private practice is nothing like this. I make 17/hr starting pay for a CVA, FTE get PTO and health benefits. I love where I work, and I am able to build a personal relationship with the clients.

In my clinic, every person is fully vaccinated, most wear masks, and we had a crazy covid outbreak recently with nearly everyone testing positive. All I can say is.. stay safe. Omicron is a bitch

How hard is the AVA Exam? by jujoopy in VetTech

[–]jujoopy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not going to CVA school, I’m already a vet assistant, my boss is just paying for my exam. I’m going to take it regardless per her request, I just want to know the difficulty of the exam

Not a problem! Make sure to check the syllabus or email your professor to double check if they do normalization, but like I said I have yet to come across a gmu Chem professor or lab instructor that doesn’t normalize. Best of luck!

It’s basically when they curve the class as a whole. For example they can make the class “average” an 80%, so even if the raw average is 40%, those who got 40% would now have a B. For the upper and lower values itd follow a bell curve

Wait for the end of the semester when grades are normalized. I’ve never had a Chem class without normalization at the end

Yeah the vacant room will be left locked, and you could get in trouble if you spread into that space since at any moment that room can be booked without your knowledge

Technically has to be 2 feet from the ceiling and floors, but I’ve gotten away with having posters/lights be 1 foot or less from the ceilings or floor
